[Resolved] Passport Status — Status not updated | |
I have applied for Fresh Passport at Pitampura Regional Passport Office on 9th of August 2008. My File Reference Number is Z075102. Whenever I try to see Application Status of my Passport I get the message: “File Reference Number (DLH-Z[protected] is either wrong or Information NOT available” But on the same page it is displayed that “Station DELHI last updated on[protected]” If I call on Enquiry No. 26187075, either it is busy or no one picks the phone. When I sent an email to 'rpo.[protected]@mea.gov.in', the email got undelivered. It is 10 days now. I think Police verification should have been completed till this time. I cant decide what to do. Please ask your status under RTI to Ministry of External Affairs and just fax the application you will receive your pasport in 3 days

I have applied for fresh passport on 15th July 2008 at DC office, sector 2, panchkula and recvd File ID CHDZ69168708. My police verification has been done. However when i check the status online with the same file id, either it says wrong file id or non existance of it. its been 2months now and i am not even aware of the status, as if there is any objection or not or its getting processed. Please advise what next can i do.

I saw the status of the same file number on website "http://164.100.17.25/passmain.php?city=dlh", the status is showing "Police Report is clear. Application is under process".
I want to suggest if you have any query against passport office you can ask for the information through RTI. They will reply you within a fortnight.
