[Resolved] Passportindia.gov.in — UNABLE TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT | |||
Hi, I have been trying to book an appointment for passport for 26 days now and haven't been able to do so. Before it was I either my missed the slot inspite of having got it or the time window was over. But for the past 10 days I have been getting an error like 'UNABLE TO PROCESS THE REQUEST TRY AFTER SOME TIME'.I am pretty sure that there's no fault of mine. Now we all get it that the Government, here helped by TCS, have been trying to facilitate some illicit business through the 'appointment touts' but can you please make that clear and make a public announcement like 'most of you have to go through a middleman whom you have to pay a gratuitous and outrageous amount to money to get your work done (getting an appointment in this case)", so that we don't have to bother trying for an appointment everyday? Here i am facing exactly the same problem from last 10 days. How did you get the appointment finally?

And if that's not the case can the Government body please make it easier for people to book an appointment?
I am also facing the same issue for last 1 month. Could anyone please help in getting this resolved. Indian Government should be at least fair in e-governance otherwise they should provide a link to submit bribe online as it was happening before the website was launched..

I am also facing same problem from last 3 days.
I am trying to book the Tatkal appointment since last few days. But I am getting the answer as "Unable to process the request. Please try after some time". And after some message comes that "All appointments are booked for today"... Not sure, why these sites are developed in such a bad manner...
This damn message come in 8 day that "Unable to process the request. Please try after some time." I think it engineer problem to not solve this type of bugs on site.

I am also facing the same error from last few days. wherein i talked to few brokers, and they said they can take the appointment within 1-2 days and they are charging very high amount for that. Seems like they have control over the system and they manipulate it. They also said the "humein passport office mein uparwala ko paisa khilana pahrta hain". So that means the passport office employees manipulate the system and get the appointment booked if you agree to go through broker. They intentionally make the system down at that time window. This is my ardent request to the govt officials to please take care on this, so that people can go for Tatkal booking through fair way.
I too am getting the same error message. This is obviously a scam by passport office and agent. I am sure passport office people are getting kickbacks from agent for blocking applicants who dont use "agents".
During the days of paper application, bribing throught agents was optional. Today with online-only process, they have made sure that everyone has to bribe for an appointment.

Hello everyone, I am one such applicant trying to book an appointment online for tatkaal application since past two weeks with no luck. Has anyone got lucky with this system? Could you please suggest how can we tackle with it and get an app? I am based in Chennai and if someone is aware of any agent doing it for sensible amount please reply.
