As mentioned on IGL’s Bill, an amount of Rs.5 has to be paid by those who make use of the Easy Bill outlets for payment of gas bills. However, the outlet at the Sector 4 Market of Dwarka is charging an additional Rs.5 (i.e. they are realizing Rs.10 from each customer). According to them, “Rs.5 is for the company and Rs.5 for us”. This is nothing short of extortion. In fact, IGL should not even have charged the Rs.5 from sus in addition to the billed amount. This should be a normal part of customer service. The additional Rs.5 being claimed is totally unwarranted and illegal.

This needs to be addressed urgently the errant easy bill outlet prevented from charging this additional Rs. 5 (over and above the Rs. 5 being charged by IGL) from the consumers.

    Pipe line gas connection in home

    I applied/ booked for the pipe line natural gas connection with Indraprastha Gas Ltd. in the month of February 2010 for my home, with the amount of Rs 5,000 as security amount and the form cost of Rs 1000. The amount has been debited from my account in the month of March 2010. On number of times I made the complaint with their call centre number and on the given customer email ID but till date it has not been instaled and neither my amount with the interest has been refunded back nor I have been given the proper reply from the competent authorities.

    If somebody is there who can take the appropriate action , then please let me know the same.

        Billing Problem

        I have recieved a bill (BP No. :[protected]) with Invoice No:[protected] dated: 03.08.2010 with an amount of Rs.1962.47 /-. Meter reading is given from 16/3/2010 to 15/7/2010(4 months). Out of this 4 months we were out of station for around one month (25 days). So the bill amount of Rs.1962.47 is given for around 3 months (Rs.654/- pm).

        Rs.654/- per month is too high. Regarding this I had sent one email to their customer...

          Dear Concerned,

          This is in reference to a new connection applied with IGL on 09/Apr/2010 reference number 601397, for which the installation was to be done at C-65, City Apartment, Vasundhra Enclave, Delhi 110096. I have also given the required amount for the same vide cheque no. 987354 date 06/Apr/2010 Rs.5000/- ICICI Bank and Cheque No. 204688 dated 06/Apr/2010 Rs.1000/- the total amount Rs.6000/- is already credited to IGL on 24/05/2010.
          Since its been 65 days and am not getting any positive response. Could you please advice on this subject.

              I would like to inform you that i have booked a connection for gas pipe line in my house on 01.02.2010... The reference no. of booking is IP 00003520....
              While booked the connection i was told that IPL representative would visit within a week to my house...
              But despite many reminders no body visited my house till date..
              I am living on 3rd floor and 2nd floor owner already has the connection..
              Its really surprising to hear such response from such a big and responsible company ... Every time i call i was promised that this time someone will visit surely,,,But , its like a chocolate given to crying child.....
              We are amazed that in vast emerging economy of INDIA a popular company like Inderprasth Gas Limited give such responses...
              I request you kindly please look in to the matter seriously to provide the solution...

                I booked a PNG gas connection for my residence at 6154/7,D-6 Vasant Kunj.

                Registration no ; 608009
                Date - 10 feb 2010
                cheque no : 506236 / SBI / rs 6000/-

                I chased the installation of this connection for the next 3 months but to no avail.
                No one helped me nor gave me a date for the connection to be installed.

                On the 08may 2010 i spoke to a person at [protected] for this and he said they will send the person to fix the connection
                on Sunday , the 9th May 2010.

                What happened on the 9th May 2010

                1. 2 personnel of Khurana Engineering came to install the pipe line
                2. after wondering how and where to start they finally manged to start an hour later
                3. Without checking where to drill etc they made a hole in the wall.
                4. In this process they
                A- broke our Glasses and plates as they did not wait for us to remove them even though the ladies in the home
                were clearing the area for them to work
                B- Cut through the electricity main wires to the home and for this we needed to get an electrician on a SUNDAY
                and had to pay him for the Negligence of the IGL workers.
                C- the personnel kept arguing with us and were rude and discourteous.

                They finally left without installing anything and left us in stress and hurrying to get the electricians to restore power supply.

                Yesterday, on the 11th May 2010 i called [protected] and i spoke to an executive -

                1. spoke rudely
                2. said these things take time and " itni jaldi hota nahin kuch bhi"
                3. I told him i would escalate the matter but no improvement in the service.

                While logging this complaint about the damages caused and the connection -
                I have spoken to[protected] Miss joshi
                who put me onto[protected] Mr Bhattacharya
                who sent me to the next person - Mr. Nitin who assured me things would be fixed. But nothing has been done so far.


                In vasant kunj the pipes line are already laid and there is no excuse for having such delays in installation.
                The service provided by IGL needs to be improved and such behavior should not be repeated.
                The customer service personnel too need to be polite and courteous, if they feel they are overworked these issues msust be addressed by IGL
                instead of them venting their frustration on the customers.

                Please will you look into this matter and solve the problem asap.

                I had booked 3 connections & paid 6000 each vide regn number 224540, 42 & 43 to yog Maya & co on 07/10/12.Some workers came to connect the pipes 3 weeks ago. They finished fittings of I & II Floors & promised to come for the GF. They did not connect the pipe line to the cooking range & no engr has come to test the fittings.Inspite of complaints no action has been taken. BP No: [protected] & complaint No: Rj [protected].                   I took Piped Gas Connection from Indraprastha Gas Limited for my Dwarka residence in 2008 and till date my meter reading is only a mere 1.10 units. This is because we generally do not stay at this address and only use is once in a while when we visit.

                  Since IPGL were blindly sending me bills every month for various amounts, I contacted their Customer Care and explained the billing errors. They have been giving me assurances till date that bills would ghet rectified and 1 year has already passed and I have not seen a rectified bill till date. They have not sent me a latest bills wherein the total outstanding is shown as Rs.2695.85 and also indicates the current meter reading as 210 units.

                  I cant understand how can a large company in public utility services behave like this and is there not any authority to check such practices.

                  Whenever the local IPGL executive visit to check the meter, they confirm that the billing is totally wrong and ask me to get in touch with their Head office who manage the billing.

                  As on date, since my meter reading is only 1.11 units and IPGL already have a credit balance of approx. Rs.1000/-, which were paid earlier without checking these billing errors, I request your authority to urgently look into the matter and help me resolve this issue.

                  Indraprastha Gas Limited — Wrong Billing since 2008

                  Sir,

                  My Business partner No.is [protected] with IGL. we have taken LPG Gas Connection from IGL, Delhi. They are sending wrong bill since 2008. we have requested to correct my bill many time but still no action has been taken by IGL. We have complained to Indraprastha Gas Limited vide complain No. (i) 70849 dated 19/9/2008 (ii) 98974 dated 8/3/2009 9( iii) 171883 dated 18/12/2009 and (iv) 225238 dated 6/7/2010 regarding correction for my bill .

                  despite repeted request, correction has not been made in my bill since 2008.

                  Leakage case against BP no: [protected]

                  Even after following up with your all departments still I have not received any reply accept that your case is under consideration and on top of that you keep on sending people to disconnect my connection and to harass my parents as they are senior citizens from your collection department, there no co ordination between your own departments as we have been advised by Ms SANCHITA MATHUR and one more lady to not make further payments till the bill is revised since September 2011 .
                  Please get your departments to coordinate better and get this matter sorted out at the
                  earliest as it has been over 5 years pending .

                      I have telephoned repeatedly and written to Indraprastha Gas Ltd to request them to fit a gas pipe connection to my residence in Jorbagh. I am a tenant on the first floor and my landlord already has a connection on the ground floor.

                      They keep promising to come 'next month' and it has gone on for 5 months like this. I wrote a letter to them on 5 March 10 and sent it by registered post - no response.

                      Please advise what can I do ?

                        I have got the gas meter installed and checked, but there is no supply. Even after repeated complaints they always say that the supply will be started in 2 days. It is going like this for more than 20 days in which I have called Ruchi Infocom three time. Today on asking when our gas supply will start, Mr. Vikas Dwedi arrogantly said that whether you have relations with the CM or PM, I request that I be connected to the PNG suppy as my gas cylinder is quickly running out,

                        IGL — Non connectivity

                        We wanted to know the reason behind the non connectivity for the gasline with my gas lines.
                        The infrastructure for the gas pipeline has been installed in my house in December -January and the testings were completed in January itself.
                        However the end termination of the pipeline to my gas burners has no been done from then and despite neumourous complains to the local vendors of the IGL who touched base with us at the time of installations have failed despite neumourous attempts.
                        I booked my gas on 22/11/08 with the local vendors.
                        NON-CONNECTIVITY ON PNG CONNECTION :

                        I also applied for PNG connection on 13.12.08 and B.P. no. allotted is [protected] for installation of PNG
                        I want to know the reason behind the non connectivity for the gasline with my gas lines.
                        The infrastructure for the gas pipeline has been installed in our Block and is working in the area. However the end termination of the pipeline to my gas burners has not been done despite neumourous complaints to the the IGL

When contacted their Vasundhra, Ghaziabad Office one official named Mr. Rajiv (A VERY CARELESS PERSON) Mobile No:[protected] (Which is out of order every time) every time assured me that the connections will be done in a months time. I don't know where to go and complaint about the this careless attitude of IGL employees. SOMEONE HELP. MY BOOKING RECEIPT NOS.                         Have Applied for IGL connection In IGL Cheque Of 6000/- Given On March 2010.
                        Now its June 11 company have not given connection instead of their commitment of 6 months. I have talked to all the big guns but nobody wants to talk even at the top level.                         I dont Know what to do... No System to Handle False Commitments...

                        I have booked two connections with BP no [protected] for my first floor and second floor residence of 411-A, Ext-1, Shalimar Gardan, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad in the month of Sep 2011 and deposited total amount of Rs.12000/-.                             This is in continuation to our various telephonic calls and written representations made to your office for faulty PNG meter installed at our house. Copy of the emails and subsequent reminders sent to you is enclosed for your ready reference. Copy of the acknowledgment received from png customer care is also enclosed for your ready reference.

                            It is again submitted that the subject meter installed in our flat has been showing reading disproportionate to our consumption, from the very inception.

                            The above has been brought to your notice when you were requested to our meter tested so that our grievance could be redressed.

                            But the person deputed by your office only sprinkled some water on the meter and said the meter is ‘OK’ which did not satisfy us.

                            Prior to piped gas, our consumption was less i.e 14 kg Gas Cylinder worth Rs. 295 would be consumed in approximately one and half months (coming to a maximum of Rs. 200 per month) whereas we have been paying far above that now.

                            In view of the above, a letter was sent to you through courier and the same was also emailed to you at customercare.png. An acknowledgement of receipt of the mail was also received by us you are requested to kindly get out meter tested immediately to redress our grievance.

                            Bill No.[protected] for Rs. 599.16 was paid against protest.

                            This month again we have got a bill for Rs. 859.82 which in no way matches our normal consumption and the same is not being paid till the time our grievance is redressed.

                            You are once again, requested to look to our complaint on priority, failing which we shall be constrained to approach the proper quarters or even the consumer forum.

                            Indraprastha Gas — Faulty Meter

                            I had complained several times (via emails sent on 12th, 19th and 30th Mar-10) to the IGL's Customercare (customercare.[protected]@igl.co.in) regarding gross excess billing to the extent of about 2.5 times on my connection no. BP No. [protected] for the period since 7-Jan-10 and requested that the meter be checked. This has not been done to date.

I complaint so many times in customer care centre he misbehave every time and speak very rudely and techincian visited my house six times every time with new story says sautrday you get positively connection. But one day Riti Raman techinician visited my house and misbahed with me and write no connection is installed at your premises your kitctchen is made wrong side and ultimately i demand my money six thousand is refunded to me after i report the matter. I fill the form for refund of my money from your R.K.Puram Office on 29/3/2017. I was shocked when i received the message from your office your money is refunded to you on 7.1.2017 when your company clearing the cheque on 19.1.2017 how we get our money back on 7.1.2017 till date we have not recd. my money i.e. 6000/- and no reply from your side. Now I am prparing to go to consumer court.

                                I have deposited a sum of rupees 5000/= for a PNG conncection in March 2009. Fitting of pipe line has been done in July/August. at the time of fitting your executive has told me that no extra piline has fitted in your home.

                                After this two time they have take measurement of pipe line. Then they told me that there is extra piple line fiiting and you have to pay 420/= rupees . then i object on this and them to show me your measurement and take all measurement in front of me. He assured me to do so but he never come back to take the measurement in fornt of me.

                                One man come one to deliver a letter of measurements I refuse to take this letter by replying him take measurement again in my presence. then i will accept this letter. But after this no body has come to my house.

                                Neither my conncection has been started nor any body come to my house to take measurement or deliver any kind of letter.

                                Mean time i have deposited a amout of rupees of Rs 420/= for the extra payment.

                                Now I want my conncection should be stared at once and there should be again taken measurement of Fitted pipe line. In this regard letter should be given to me.

                                Some wholeson the wall which was made for installing of lines, has not been filled yet.

                                Delay show some conspiracy or other malafied intentions.

                                    There were 3 applications made 3 connections at our residence in March 2009 (Regn. No's [protected], [protected], [protected]) on payment of Rs. 15,000/-. In response to this the contractor Tractbel Engineering approached us for installation in October 2009, they were told that we require the Gas Meters on the outer wall of kitchen (which is in covered accessible secure area) and since we have the Gas Hobs fitted on cooking slabs with gas inlet point under the slab, the PNG delivery point nozzel and shut-off valve may be provided near the input point which is open area below the cooking burners plate and is easily accessible to shut off gas supply valve. Also we requested that the small length of pipe after the meter as per IGL norms be of Copper pipe.

                                    The contractors representative who came to install told us that the installation will be done as per our requirement and they carried out the GI pine installation upto the roof to bring it down from service shaft upto kitchen outer wall, later their superviser came to inspect and told us that he can not agree to any of our requests (including providing copper pipe after the meter) as they are not allowed to do anything like this and told me to contact their senior Mr. Manager Singh at [protected] to discuss it further. Mr. Manager Singh repeated the same saying that our requests are against the IGL installation rules. I requested him to show me the installation rules of IGL but I was told that they he has no written rules/guidelines they work on verbal orders of IGL, I asked him if he is IGL officer to which he said that he is working through the contractors/consultants appointed by IGL and I should contact IGL to find out the installation rules and regulations, he refused to provide any contact person details in IGL.
                                    I contacted the IGL customer Helpline at [protected] and spoke with Mr. Kailash who listened to my problem and after consulting his senior repeated the same answer that if the contractor says it is against the rules then it is against the rules, I asked him who can provide me with a copy of such rules to which he had no answer but told me to contact the Headquarters of IGL.
                                    I find it really annoying that the IGL contractors are insisting on providing a very unsafe installation in our kitchens they want us to have rubber gas pipe running on top of our work slab which is exposed to extremely hot utensils, and cutting knives. Whereas we want a safe installation. They are acting in a very arbitrary manner without being helpful or providing any contact point in IGL or showing the installation rugulations.
                                    The installation norms were neither provided at the time of booking for connection nor the same are available on the IGL website.
                                    Would the senior management at IGL do something about this monopolistic behaviour and provide us with a safe connection as requested or explain to us how our request is unsafe or against IGL norms of installation ?

                                    This matter was resolved after the visit of IGL officials at the site and they agreed to provide the delivery point on the outer wall near Gas meter from where we could take the shielded flexible pipe to our cooking gas hob.
                                    The same has been now installed to our satisfaction and is working quite well for us.

                                    Hi,

                                    We have opeted for new Gas pipeline connection and till now the connection has not been made active at our place.

                                    I am really sorry to say that your dealer service is way very poor and they are not competitive enough to interact with the customers. They havent turned out for the connection and have a very very poor quality of language communication.

                                    We regret to opt for the pipeline conection as since last 4 days we are just chasing them for the connection and till now its not been done. I must say that the cylinder service is much better than this.

                                    I am pissed off with your service and am going to take this up to consumer forum as we opt for better services for convenience and not for harassment and unprofessionalism.

                                    We DO NOT wish to go with this connection anymore and want our money refund ASAP.

                                    IGL GAS — not installed after one year

                                    I had applied a PNG connection on 27-Feb-2011, form no. 967340 & deposited the 6 thousand rupees on same day. I was promised that connection would be installed within 6 months but after passing 9 months, I am not getting any response from IGL after my continuous follows up with IGL peoples.
                                    I had also requested to connect my home to IGL pipe line when digging work was going on in front of my house & send a fax also in your office but I did not get any response at that time also; I have receipt copy of that fax too.
                                    I would like to know; if a repudiated company like an IGL do like this with their customer what would be for other private companies.
                                    Pl. notes that lot of connection has been installed within 4 months also but my connection is not installed till now after passing 11 month.
                                    Now I would like to know how you would compensate me because I had applied the connection for a specific purpose at that time but now purpose has been diffused.

                                    I HAD BOOKED A CONNECTION ON 01-04-11 FOR MY HOUSE NO. B-100, SECTOR 30, NOIDA UP. NO CONNECTION WAS INSTALLED FOR MANY MONTHS. THEN ON ONE DAY I COMPLAINED TO THE J E, WHO ENQUIRED FROM THE CONTRACTOR. MY HOUSE IS A CORNER HOUSE AND I WANTED THAT IT SHOULD BE INSTALLED THRO THE SIDE WALL FROM CONER SIDE. YOUR J E AGREED FOR THAT AND ASKED THE CONTRACTOR TO DO THE NEEDFUL
                                    TO MY SURPRISE THE CONTRACTOR ASKED FOR ONE THOUSAND RUPEE AS BRIBE. THE MATTER WAS IMMEDIETLY REPORTED TO THE PRESIDENT R W A. NO BODY CAME TO INSTAL AFTER WARDS
                                    TO MY SURPRISED I GOT YOUR LETTER NO IGL/MKT/CG(DM)/REFUND DT 10-09-12 STATING THAT YOU HAVE FOUND MY HOUSE LOCKED WHICH IS UNTRUE. BY REFUNDING 6000/RUPEES AFTER17 MONTHS BY MAKING FALSE STATEMENTS IS UNHOLY OF A COMPANY LIKE YOURS
                                    ITS REQUESTED TO INSTAL MY CONNECTION IMMEDIETLY

                                    My application number is[protected]. Today I have received mail and I am shocked that my application is rejected due to not feasible due to proper ventilation.

                                    I am surprise to show that, IF I PAID MONEY TO THE PERSON CAME FOR FEASIBLE THEN IT WILL NOT FAILED.

                                    I also not understand, why the feaisbility is not possible while more than 15 connections are installed in the same location.

                                    But in my case it was failed due to not paying any money to the person visited to us for checking of feasibility.

                                    I also sending fax to the GM (Marketing) in this regard.

                                    I have been waiting for more than 1 year for installation of new connection, but the connection was closed in our area, now when the connection is opened in our area and after repeated enquiry the person visited to us and did not check the proper area, if THE PLACE IS NOT FEASIBLE THEN WHY IN THE SIMILAR AREA CONNECTION HAVE BEEN PROVIDED.

                                    I requrest you to kindly re-send your representative for feasibility and oblige.

                                    My Business partner number has been generted more than 3 months ago, but nobody has come for installation to my place. till date, I dont get a proper feedback when I call customer care and everytime I am being tole connection will be installed in a weeks time.

All formalities of technical feasibility and other paper related formalities / payments are also completed. Kindly do the needful as it has been badly delayed.

                                    This is to bring into your attention, that there has been an indefinite delay in the connection of my PNG pipeline at residence. The BPN number is – [protected]. I had lodged the complaint with the Customer care on 29th Apr’13 through ID - PRJ[protected]. I have still not heard any update, irrespective of my continuous follow ups.

                                    This is to bring to your notice, i Jasmeet Singh Nayyar, resident of Rajouri Garden.. applied for IGL GAS connection few months back and all the piping along with Meter has been successfully installed and tested at our resident about couple of months back. However, connection has not been active till date due to some local area politics played by some people in our area where IGL engineer Mr. Siddiqui is involved too.

                                    I did lodge one complaint at your customer service PRJ [protected] where i got the feedback that my house is not having proper ventilation.

                                    Please note, we live in DDA FLATS and our Flats are constructed as per DDA guidelines and they have PROPER VENTILATION.

                                    As a customer of IGL, i humbly request you to send some senior person who should see the ventilation and process it accordingly.

                                    Please note, we are not only the sufferers here, its only 4 flats who are facing this issue due to local politics played in our area where your engineer Mr. Siddiqui is involved too.

                                    When asked from the customer care when was the visit made by your concerned person reg. ventilation then they had no clue and as per our best knowledge no one from IGL had visited us to check for ventilation.

                                    I request you to please send one Senior most person who can see the ventilation thing and can take a call on that.

                                    I applied for four connection of PNG Gas for residential use BP No. are allotted as [protected], [protected], [protected] and [protected] but the same are not provided to me. ING installed service line on the wall of neighbour. The neighbour refuse to release the connection from his wall it is a matter of ING company to provide me the gas connection at the earliest. and issue me the password Number and ID number.

                                    i am residence of c-1/80 yamuna vihar i applied for the gas at first floor and give all document for first floor .but the conncerning officer put the connection at second floor due to which it can not be used .and reading also did not read the person did not come to our home to take the reading and sending us bill from octobor 2012 sending .from till date only 49 kg is used but they send us 49.69 kgat the date 29/04/13 we paid the bill till date .i also complaint at 13 april to the custmer care also they said to pay the bill and we will adjust the bill .15 /12 /2013 around 06.30 pm i call them again but they say the surver is down .that why we can not do anything.
                                    i request u please putmy connection on first floor . and please take reading according to the meter bill.

Now I await BPO.HOW LONG?                                     Dear Sir,
                                    1.I received the bill vide mobile message in Dec13 for due amount Rs. 6250.17, bill no.[protected], dated 19.12.13 showing consumption from 23.9.13 to 15.11.13 for 54 days as 124.79 (i.e. 2.3109259/day) to which I lodged complaints for highly inflated consumption compared to my history may be due to repeated over reading of meter due to faulty meter or leakage in gas pipeline resulting in highly inflated bill vide your bill no.[protected], dated 17.1.14 &[protected], dated 22.01.14
                                    2.My First complaint no. ONM[protected], Second Complaint No. ONM[protected], dated 04.01.13 and third Complaint No. ONM[protected], dated 20.1.13 and fourth complaint no. ONM[protected], dated 30.1.14 regarding highly inflated consumption billing-to which my first simply disposed at site without assigning any reason and second, third and fourth complaints still reflecting but I am getting the bills still vide no.[protected], dated 17.1.14 &[protected], dated 22.01.14 showing highly inflated consumption and amount even though I requested to get the over reading meter, pipe line checked for faulty, leakage or any foul play whereas I already got my stoves checked twice and everything is perfect in it .
                                    3.I would like to clear the bills immediately without any penalties as I did not get previous bills and when I got inflated consumption showing bills then immediately I lodged above complaints .Therefore again I request you to pl resolve my compliant for repeated over reading of meter due to faulty meter or leakage in gas pipeline resulting in highly inflated bill vide your bill no.[protected], dated 17.1.14 &[protected], dated 22.01.14 and I would also concurrently request immediate CNG gas disconnection as this has become a big pain, anxiety & harassment with insecurity for abrupt disconnection.
                                    4.Early action with revised bill as per my previous history of consumption(i.e. @ 0.192950/day) without any penalties may be given to enable me to clear the bill immediately .

                                      I sudhir jain, a resident of Block A-11/F-I, Dilshad Garden, Delhi-110096 got myself registered with IGL for PNG connection on 13.12.08 by depositing an amount of Rs.5,000/- vide cheque No.252054 dated 13.12.08 drawn on PNB with an assurance to get the supply within two months. Almost a time period of 3 and half months is going to be over but I did not hear anything from the authorities. Also tried to contact IGL control/complaint rooms many times but of no avail. As PNG supply is already there in my block, it is a question of mere connection but nobody is ready to listen to me. A tel.no.([protected]) of one Mr.Sikand given by their control room in Dilshad Garden whenever contracted answered that the connection could not take place as his labour is not in town.
                                      Sir, is the response like a reputed IGL Co. should be like this when the question is just to connect the line with kitchen.

                                      Can I hope to hear something positive from the authorities.
