[Resolved] Police / BBMP — Encroachment on Footpath | |||
Time and again complaint has been lodged about illegal encroachment by hooligans on the footpath between the 3rd and 4th main, 30th Cross, 7th Block Jayanagar Bangalore 560082, just next to the rose garden. Now they have even put up shanties on the footh path where about 35-40 people stay since past 6-8 months. The Jayanagar police station is barely 200 mts away, but surprisingly the police have ignored this menace. The occupants pose a serious risk to the passers by as the roads are also heavily dark during nights. Such people who have no moral or respect for public property cannot be trusted when it comes to ladies passing from that side. They also create so much filth in and arond the place as all their activities including answering nature's call happen there itself. All the pavements in Wilson Gardens are encroached by Food cart Vendors and Cloth Vendors. Police instead of stopping the practice of encroachment turn a blind eye or may supporting them for some considerations. Parking of Commercial vehicles like Buses, Trucks, Tempos is very very rampant on both the sides of the road blocking the vehicular movement. Flowers vendors are virtually blocking all the roads with their flowers on the roads and pavements. Their vehicles are blocking both pavements and roads. Roads and pavements are in worst shapes and to top all this this kind of encroachments. Even if you complain to BBMP or Police two days of de encroachment and after few days they reappear and encroach the pavements with more vigour and vitality. There seems to be some Invincible powerful hands who support such encroachments for monthly gratification for both parking and encroachments.
