current a/c :[protected] Sir, We are a maruti authorised service station in Mumbai, running operations for almost two decades. We hold a Current account ([protected], MIDC, Andheri east, branch. This letter is to bring to your kind attention the inconvenience caused to us due to an negligience and casual attitude of the bank staff at this branch. We had issued a cheque amounting to Rs. 1,25,000/ on[protected]ch no: 289952) in Bank Of Baroda (Powai Branch) . Against this deposit, we issued a cheque to The Service Tax Dept on[protected]. To our utter surprise and shock on[protected], we just realised that our service tax cheque has bounced in spite of suffient funds in our account. After an investigation at our end we found out that the cheque which we had deposited on[protected] had bounced due to a differ in words and figures written on the cheque. This too was dawned on us as we tried to find out each entry in our account. We are shocked that in spite of being a regular and old customer of your bank and also to bring up the current scenario of hi fi banking, there was no intimation from your bank regarding the same which otherwise would save us of the loss and inconvenience caused to us. . This has caused inconveniece and also a financial loss to us as now we have to pay a penalty to the service tax dept. We have a valid question to you that is it not the duty of the bank to have informed us, so as it would have saved us of this loss. We have been banking with various other banks but regret to inform you that we have never faced such dire situations.
