[Resolved]  PVR Cinemas — Online booking transaction error - No Support

I made an online booking on pvrcinemas.com and the payment was deducted from my credit card for Rs. 1060/- but the pvr web site did not complete the transaction - it straight away took me to the home page after accepting the payment. The booking does not show in my account on their site either.

They have no information about customer support other than an email address [protected]@pvrcinemas.com. Calling their number in Gurgaon does not get any response either.

Really silly... they charge me for a "convenience" and I end up spending 3 hours for what should have been 5 minutes.

Highly frustrating, and just convinces me that they have no interest in addressing customer needs. Henceforth shall always look for an option other than PVR and recommend everyone.

When I gone to the theater with the ref. no. to collect the ticket then I came to know there is no actual booking.

I am afraid I will have to differ with the majority here as I found PVR's customer service on failed transactions quite satisfactory. I dont consider myself a regular when it comes to posting comments on online forums but I felt I owe this one to PVR who have been receiving considerable flak going by all the comments here. And most o[censored]s here (at the risk of making a generalising assumption) write a comment only when we want to whine and complain and rarely do we spend time to write a positive feedback once the issue that we are facing is resolved.

To cut a long story short, I too faced a similar failed transaction issue with PVR recently and this was for a ticket that I had booked online using my netbanking account two months back. Must admit, that there was no working customer care number when I wanted to ring them up. But that should not have prevented me from dropping an email to their customer care folks. The lazy pessismist (fuelled by all the negative comments in forum such as this one) somehow kept me away from writing an email to PVR. However, I did try checking with my banker (whom I know to be prompt in providing such assistance) and also with the payment gateway CC avenues (wasnt able to reach them, the number didnt work and my email to them didnt elicit a response). And after two months, when I was enduring a bout shallow-pocketitis(!) I thought I might give this refund claim another try. Called up CC avenues again who confirmed that the issue is with PVR. Wrote them a clear email ([protected]@pvrcinemas.com) with the transaction ids and order ids (which CC avenues gave me). The response was prompt promising a refund in 14 days which eventually happened in 2 days!! Made me feel they are not that bad after all as the mood here in this forum seems to suggest!!

Althought I agree that 2 months is a long time for PVR to have not done reverted the transaction by themselves, I must admit I was equally at fault for not registering a complaint all this while. And once I got around to doing it, the response was GOOD!

With all due respect to the feelings of all the nay sayers here (who have reason to feel cheated), I believe the service is now much improved...only that we need to know where to go knocking.

Their website sucks. It is second time in last one year I have faced this problem. God knows what they are really upto.

Similar incident of PVR cinemas recently took place with me. I made a online booking through my HDFC debit card of 3 tickets of Gangs Of Vasseypur in PVR Oppulent ghaziabad on 9/8/2012. During the process suddenly message flashed on their website "booking couldn't be accomplished due to bad transaction" and instruct for try again. When i tried again immediately it shows all seats are booked with in a span of 2 minutes only, such a incredible thing even when most of the seats were vacant just 2 minutes before. also respective amount of tickets i.e. 425.56 was also deducted from my account while tickets were not booked. I have sent them 4 emails for refunding my amount but didn't get any response from them.
