[Resolved]  Rajshree Ford — Poor Service

I have a Ford Ikon 1.8D which has been serviced by Rajshree Ford, Coimbatore for the past 8 months. Inspite of numerous changes to parts (as recommended by the staff) the vehicle is still not in proper condition. They fail to attend to all the jobs specified by the customer and this would be repeated during the next visit. I have spent a whole one lakh on its maintenance.

Some highlights to mention:
- A disconnected head light plug due to which the lamp was not working (since we were personally there this was found out). If we werent there then the problem would have been the bulb fuse is gone and a change for Rs. 400/-.
- They do not know how to diagnos problems in the cltuch assembly (as they do only an overview checkup of it)
- Shabby cleaning: I spend Rs. 275/- for the car washevery time the vechicle goes to them but it is not good. The Maruti service (Ambal Auto) for my WagonR is far better.
- Aslo found instances where new customers were being delayed to get delivery of their car (one was shouting at his heights on a day when I wnet to pickup mine).

Always buy a car that most of the Indian public uses (I would suggest Maruti, TATA or Mahindra) as the after sales and services are poor for most of these foreign cars.

The promised 24x7 support of Ford is not there. My car broke down in Davangere on 12th June 2010 (9:00 PM) and was towed next day afternoon (1:00 PM) to Hubli and was serviced on 13th June 2010, delivered at 6:00 PM and we reached Pune early morning of 14 June 2010 (3:30 AM). The answer from one of the supervisors of Metro Ford, Hubli was that this location is remote (when comapred to other cars) and such servces sould only be provided in theory. So please consider this factor, do not just go by the 8-10 parameters when buying a car, especially the foreign ones.
