Hitachi AC stall show a version and supllied simillar lowend version
I bought a Window AC from Rathan Fan house on May 1st. After visiting all showrooms, i made a selection in Hitiachi AC showroom. They demonstrated a of window AC. I opted that AC model and asked the sales person to bill for that Model. They executed the sales and i got the AC box supplied to me on the same day.
Next day, when i was not in home, they sent a installation person. I was ok to install the AC without seeing anything inside the box.
Installation was done. After i came back from office, i saw the AC installed; and though of operating once to see how it is doing. There i realised that there is slight difference in the AC display panel.
I though of checking in Internet about the model they supplied. Then only i realized that the Rathna fan house has shown a higher model and billed & supplied a low end model. After doing little research on Internet i understands that the model they have shown to me was TM (twine Motor) and the model they supplied was QC (Quick Summer Cool).
First i felt cheated for this model change. I called RFH, they asked me to come directly with bill. When i went there, the person in the showroom - Hitachi stall, said that they can not change the piece because its already installed. After some argument and explaining to them that their side mistake was accepted by him and he said that he will speak to HITACH people to get the model what i have choose. Nothing has happened as of now. 1 moth has gone.
When i make a call to HITACHI customer case, i realized second point i got cheated by RFH. They are suppose to send HITACHI person for installation. That is what HITACHI is expecting to do by a Dealer. But RFH has sent a carpenter to do installation. Which make HITACHI to reject any warranty due to unauthorised technician installation.
After speaking to Hitach CS, i come to know that the i got cheated for price also. They said, the price of the AC they have supplied is lowest in Chennai City. But they sold it for MRP.
Please let me know how to make HITACHI to understand the problems in my case. As a customer, i am expecting to be told about the different model the RFH is billing than the one shown to me. You may ask question of don't i check the model. Two reasons make me not to do the checking:
1. The belive on the RFH and a natural expectation that when i opt a model and paying to the price for the model, i did not expected Dealter to manipulate in-between because of Non-stock model. Later speaking to the service person, i come to know that they don't have TM model in stock.
2. I am not educated by the sales team in HITACHI showroom that there is one another model which is similar to the TM model, which is QC. As i am not aware of the existence of another model, my intuition did not work to check the model they are billing and supplying.
After all, when i report this issue to the floor in-charge person, he just said that i am asking for model change because i did not like it after installation. Which, they can not entertain. How is this? Just kick me out without understanding the pain point of customer.
If i buy from local small dealer, i may be paying same or less that RFH. But they speak out clearly before selling or at-least consumer will be little cautious because of no brand image like RFH. But for RFH kind of dealers doing this kind of business by cheating customer like me; just for the sake of selling.
I dislike RFH due to the way they handled my sales, post sales response.
