[Resolved]  Reader's Digest — Renewal of Suscription + 3 gifts

Dear Sir,

I have applied for renewal of my subscription through the offer made by Reader's Digest in december, 2008, Through their offer at 42% discount by paying Rs.379/- only (THE CHEQUE WAS DRAWN FROM MY SON'S ACCOUNT -PRADEEP KUMAR JAIN).I have twice called at their office on 5th of this month (Feb, 2009)at NOIDA, they promised to reply within 72 hours but it is almost 14 days passed and since than i have received no reply at all. This is the example of their poor service. Is paying in advance results like this?.

Please advise,

yours faithfully

This is the second time that we have received a card "Special subscriber gift rewards"
3 FREE GIFTS are waiting for you!. A SPECIAL THANK YOU FROM READER'S DIGEST. I would like to know exactly where these 3 FREE GIFTS are waiting. Both times I have followed the instructions given on the card to no avail.

We have been subscribers to the Readers Digest for approx 40 years...
Is this another one of those Scams, LOOKS LIKE IT TO ME...
Why would a respected magazine have to lower them selves to do this...

I agree with all of the above.
Long time subscriber and subscription gift buyer. Recd your 3 Free Gifts card. Went online and
entered the www.readersdigest.com/3gifts url as instructed. Only this complaints message came
up. No information about the three free gifts. What gives? Please advise.
I agree with the above... get nowhere from this site.
I too tried uncessfully to obtain my 3 free gifts as stated on your card that
3 free gifts are waiting for you as a special subscriber gift reward. There is
nothing on the internet at www.readersdigest.com/3gifts on what to do. I
guess you really want to upset your subscribers.
Where do I find my 3 Free Gifts? False advertising I think. You can't find them on the computer!!!
I agree!!! Shame on you Readers Digest you used to be a respectable publication! Why resort to SCAMMING your own subscribers. I will spend my subscription money else where in the future.
Got my new Digest today and thought I would get right to my computer for the offer of the free gifts, thinking Readers Digests would not be one to not give what they said. Well, I WAS WRONG, can't get into the sight. Very disappointed in you Readers Digest. Not because I wanted the gifts so much but that I really had trust in you that this was on the up and up
I too looked for the way to get my tree gifts to no avail.
Why do you do these things!!!
One aagain we get duped by a reputable company. Why bother??? Why send the card if it isn't true. It just makes people angry and nothing is accomplished.
Please stop sending the books in the mail . we are not paying for it and takem us off the list, # bznbmwb # [protected]
will be waiting for the 3 free gifts
thank you
Not good business tactics, that's for sure.
WHY DO YOU SEND THESE STUPID FREE GIFTS?????? I haven't checked to see in so long cause this has been happening for years. Was hoping the problem was corrected but i see it isn"t. Don't waste the paper nomore. THANKS FOR NOTHING.
I also tried to find this and came to this site - what gives?????
If you are going to offer 3 free gifts for any reason, you should be faithful to that statement and follow through. It makes us disbelieve anything you write. Shame on you!!
I see I'm in good company here. I have subscribed to Reader's Digest for more years than I can remember and give subscriptions as gifts, which I renew annually, to elderly relatives. I figured the "3 Free Gifts" offer would have strings attached but didn't expect to be scammed entirely. I realize the economy is tough but RD needs to right this wrong!
If indeed you get your free gift, you will be billed for shipping and handling which is more costly than the gift is worth. Been there - done that
What a joke!! The issue of RD I received in the mail today had a web site you could go to and supposedly claim 3 free gifts. So, as in the past when I've received the same offer, I stupidly tried the web site. Surprise!!! No such web site exists. This will be my last subscription to the magazine as it is smaller each month with little if anything interesting to read.
How do I get my 3 free gifts? Got card in the mail. Said go to www.readersdigest.com/3 gifts How do I receive them? Rhonda S Cutler
