DELAY IN PASSPORT ISSUE

I have applied passport for my spouse on[protected] and Police verification also done and report sent to Passport office at a same time after verification . But till now i have not received the Passport.
When check the status on line still shows "Police Report has not been received".
Kindly help me to get the Passport as soon as possible

Sir/Madam,
I applied for passport on 23rd of November 2010 at Secunderabad, however I still haven’t received my passport. Every time when I check the status online, it shows the following:

STATUS : It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time

This has been the SAME since a several months. I followed up through various means, however did not get any response from concerned department. When I call the complaint no. nobody responds. I request you to please look into the matter and do the needful. Please help me in getting the same dispatched ASAP.
