I had purchased a samsung Mobile phone vide model No SGH J800 on 24/4/2009 from QRS, retail Ltd,MG Road, Trivandrum, Kerala. On the month of October,2009, one side of my head set was not working and i went to the customercare service centre at "Mereena Electronics", the exclusive samsung service center at T.C 28/986(1),SWARA46,Sreekandeswaram,Thiruvananthapuram. After examination they said that headset was out of stock and asked me to come after one month, i request for the registration of the complaint but they replied that this is only a minor complaint and there is no need of registration. Believing the words of the servicemen i came back to the service center after one month, af that time also they made me believe that there was no stock and they asked me to come on the 5th of february, 2010. On 5th day of Februrary, 2010, they made a further examination of my head set and said that they are giving warranty of head set only for 6 months.this fact was not mentioned anywhere in the warranty paper. So kindly give direction to replace my headset within 10 days, otherwise i will take appropriate legal action Before the Honorable Consumer Dispute

SAMSUNG LCD TV — Defective LCD TV
I purchased a Samsung LCD TV in Feb 2008 from Vijay Sales Bandra for Rs 50000/-. The TV is not working properly in October 2009 i.e within 18 months. When I lodged a complaint with them they inform me that since the warranty period expired within 12 months I will have to pay Rs 1000/- plus service tax merely for their mechanic to visit my house and any spare parts expenses will have to be borne in addition to that. Even if their servicing technician comes by A/C taxi (which they do not), it would not cost them Rs 1000/- to visit my home. It is a very good strategy to fleece and cheat customers - Manufacture and sell sub standard products which become defective immediately after warranty period is over and charge Rs 1000/- every time your technician has to visit the home to check the sub standard TV.
