unable to connect to PC and also not accessing internet through bluetooth
I have bought Samsung Corby Pro (GT-B5310) on Jan 29, 2010 but till date I am unable to connect the phone to my PC through software named 'kies' provided with the set. Further not able to connect to internet by using 'Bluetooth' connection. I have being trying hard, loaded and reloaded their software 'kies' but could not succeed. Same thing using bluetooth, my other phone is working well but 'corby Pro' is not able to connect to net. Please Help!

I purchased SAMSUNG CORBY BT-5310 and am facing the following problems.
KIES does not work. The software installed after great difficulty (it expects every user to have a broadband Internet connection) worked briefly but the moment I installed any other software which updated / changed the .NET files it stopped working (gives ERROR: Mainstage.exe has stopped working). It sucks.
The phone hangs and continuously reboots whenever you try to make a new bluetooth connection. I was able to access Airtel GPRS but the speed was pathetic (guess airtel also has a part to play there).
Since last two days my phone magically stopped working (no hardware key was responding) so I couldnt make a call or receive a call. Even after removing the battery to reset the phone, the condition was maintained.
DO NOT waste your money on SAMSUNG CORBY PRO 5310BT. I regret my decision of giving in to SAMSUNGs marketing hype and purchasing this phone.

Hi All,
I bought this phone 4 days back and I am really happy with the phone. The problem is with the Kies Software. It throws some .NET error. I have ensured that all the prerequisite softwares are installed on my laptop. But it still does not work.
When I click on the My Computer icon, it throws some error and does not even send an email. As while sending email, it throws one more error.. How funny... I am really disappointed with the software. Samsung has not even provided any troubleshooting for Kies software on it's website.
Guys let me know if you know the solution. Thanks..

I bought the samsung corby s3653 a month back. But all of sudden i am not able to open messages. whenever i click on messages, it shows "initialising" then nothing happens. How am i suposed to rectify this?

Same problem i am also facing, I have bought Samsung Corby Pro (GT-B5310) recently on 16.03.2010 but unable to connect the phone to my PC through software named 'kies' provided with the set. Further am having service provider as IDEA but the connectivity to sites any msger is not done. My other phone is working well but 'corby Pro' is not able to connect to net. Please Help !!!

I am also facing same problem I have Airtel connection and GPRS plan also activated. But mob pages are opened at mobile but while connecting with PC net is not connected. Please help and mail me...Thanks

Whenever I save new contacts into the phone book, contact gets deleted automatically. Any one has seen this behavior?

hi
I purchased corby pro last month i used it very well.
i have some complaints listed below:
1. it is loaded with all the hardwares like bluetooth, wireless but doesnt have necessary softwares to run them.
2. i cannot connect gprs from pc to phone
3.i tried connecting to wifi access point wich i created on my laptop and i failed over there also
4. the KIES software which comes with the package doesnt support connecting to gprs like nokia PC suit.
5. KIES is like useless, and not user friendly software
6. the games are just trial versions and doesnt work
7. i paid rs.12500 for this cell for all good working softwares but i didnt get what i wanted
8. i wanted to play games but never played they ask us to buy the liscene which i have already paid while byuying cells.
9. you cant forward messages to more than 10 peaple at one time. while in mobiles like nokia u can send messages to more many people at a time and it cost just 1 rs.1000. not rs.12500.
10. i felt like i wasted my money buyig this cell. i would buy nokia E63 which cost just in rs.9000
11. i can get all the features in just rs.5000 with fully working application in other mobiles

ACTUALLY I WAS ALSO FACING SAME PROBLEM BUT THROGH THE CD PROVIDED WITH MOBLE I HAVE OVERCOME WITH THIS PROBLEM. NOW INTERNET IS CONNECTED AT SPEED OF 113 Mbps. IF ANY ONE WANTS HELP HE CAN MAIL ME AT bhai_ashutosh@yahoo.co.in

I just bought Corby Pro GT5310, and it works fine - wi-fi, kies connection.. my only concern is that kies cant connect via bluetooth, unlike pc studio, also it will just provide access to your phone data. i need a pc studio function for GT5310, where i can type my SMS at my laptop, and uses my phone resources (e.g. sms network).. is there an update on pc studio to connect to gt5310 and not just on MDF mode... pls share if you know anything on this... thanks...

i hv brt same nearly 15 days ago... can ne tell me hw can i use java sftwares in it????
evrytime i download a java file nd tries to run it, it says "unsupported file type..." plzzzzz send me d solution if u hv ne...
i will b grateful to u...
nd neway... despite all this problms it is one of d sexiest mobile i hv evr had... grt look...

hi guyz ... i hv seen many comments ...& majority complaints were regarding net connection via samsung corby pro ( b5310) ...
if u r having Airtel sim then your problem of net connection is soved
in airtel there are many gprs schemes call customer care and ask for one which can b used in pc's
opes samsung kies then click on net witget... then click on settings icon in the bottom
then in connection menu select samsung usb moden and type some name for connection in top and click new.
then select country
select bearer then change dialing no. fron (*99*1*11*# or anything ) to (*99#) ... clen click ok ...
then click on the connect icon...
Hope u guyz got what you want...:)

I am also using the same model and its working very fine. might be you need to check with your USB ports or reinstall USB drivers.

I am the gr8 fan of NOKIA and first time i m trying Samsung Corby pro.
I am also using the same its working fine.
But I want to know some configuration points:
(1) How to configure GPS?
(2) How to access internet from my PC?
(3) How to know how many applications are opened?
(4) how to add other applications?
