Samsung Lcd B550 — Samsung is Duping its customers | |||
Hi, I have bought a 40 inch Samsung LCD in 2009 Oct, and in early 2011, just after few months after one-year warranty, my TV started showing white screen. I called up customer care, the representative visited and the only solution he had was to get the Panel worth Rs 22K changed. I read on the internet and suggested him to check the TCON card. On this, he agreed and came back after few days and insisted following up, with a TCON card and it did not work. The only solution now was panel change. But my screen was fine I could see the menu, and browse, how can panel go bad. Finally I forgot about this and after few months came across a technician who claimed to have fixed LCDs. He opened my LCD, did a PCB cleaning and Wow my LCD is in perfect working condition, no card changes no panel changes. Had it been one off case I can overlook but similar thing happened with one of our relative. Again Samsung wanted panel change but actually the power card was bad and they got it replaced and TV is just fine. My question is why is Samsung not fair with its customers? I demand an explination why was panel change required when alternatives were possible. Plus customer is so helpless after investing in expensive LCD worth Rs 50K that Samsung is taking them for a ride. I did write them the above mail and got a very disheartening response stating just few words that thanks for your feedback. But I deserve a better action.
