[Resolved]  Samsung / Nandilath G Mart — Second quality product delivered when brand new product is purchased

Be very careful when purchasing home appliances, especially from Nandilath G-Mart, Kerala (and also other dealers). Let me tell you my story.

2 months back[protected] i purchased SAMSUNG Fully Automatic top loading washing machine and SAMSUNG Grill type microwave oven from Nandilath G-MART, Trivandrum. When samsung technician came and unwrapped the washing machine, I saw scratches above the tub area. When asked about it to the technician, he said it may be packing issues (but i really think that its an old washing machine). I told him to replace the machine and he said they can replace the damaged parts alone in 3 days and if I want a brand new machine, I have to wait for 15 days. Since I needed washing machine urgently, I told them to replace the parts alone. (I think i was foolish to opt for that choice. I paid for the brand new washing machine - around 16000 - and I should have insisted to replace the machine that day itself).

Anyway, even after one month no one came and replaced the parts. I kept on calling Nandilath. And one day, they told me that the model I bought is no longer available and I should pay additional for a higher end model. The price difference as per Samsung site was only 400 but Nandilath told me to pay rs.1800 etc. When asked for reason, they told me that when I bought washing machine (in onam season), they gave em discount of around 1800 and they can no longer give me that discount.

I complained about it to Samsung customer care and they told me that their service engineer will contact me with in 3 days. Its been another 1 month since I complained to Samsung Customer care and there is no response from them too. Everytime they keep on telling me that their service engineer will call me. I am fed up now.

When microwave was installed, i heard that samsung usually provides a microwave start-up kit (which contains basic microwave utensils). I DID'T EVEN GET THAT. When asked about it, they told me its available only on higher models (my MW costs around 7500). I went to QRS and asked about the same microwave I have. They said Microwave startup kit is available with all models. So G-MART was cheating me on Microwave too????

One of my friend got Samsung washing machine from QRS, and even they delivered washing machine with scratches around the body. When told them about it, they replaced it with another one the SAME DAY itself.

Now I am planning to file a consumer case against nandilath g mart.

Anyway, we may be able to buy home appliances from these people only. Buy from them BUT BE VERY CAREFUL AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY DONT CHEAT YOU WITH SECOND QUALITY PRODUCTS. There may be others who got better service from them, but this is the kind of service and support I got from these people.

I agree 100% I have the same experience with Nandilath G Mart. They are one of the leading cheaters in this household article sellers´in the capital city.
Compare with Nandilath or QRS its better to purchase products from small shops, they will give good discount and service
They sucks big time. They don't even have proper customer interaction. Today I am back from their store inquiring for my refrigerator exchange. They act as if we are there for their mercy. They don't even bother to get us the at least a satisfactory service. How can I believe them if they are going to deliver me a good product!
One more thing, when I check the prive they told and prive in compareindia.in.com, there is huge difference in each model. Whirlpool-Mastermind 23 Elite they said for 20500(though they agreed to give it for 18500 after long bargain) which compareindia shows 18200 !!!.
I had some bitter experience with Nandilath.One was during last Onam(2009).I went there(Karamana) with my family just to buy a DVD Player.There was a huge crowd may be because of huge advts for their Onam sales.We paid the bill and the lady informed us to goto the delivery section to collect the DVD Player.We went there and waited for long;but we didn't get.After waiting for almost 30mins I asked a guy who was sitting there why so much delay.Suddenly he got annoyed and started shouting at me and with my family.He don't mind using abusing words in front of ladies too.I also shouted at him with equal voice and he calm down and started using abusing words against that lady also a staff at there.
Second one was yesterday(16.05.2010) we went there to buy a TV, Refrigerator, Mixie etc.Even though it was Sunday, some rush were there but can be managed.We entered the shop and gone to each section and looking for the models.It is very very sad to say that NOBODY were attending us and we were there for more than 30mins.Then we went to a counter and asked for the complaint/suggestion book.The lady there told that there is no such there.Then a guy started asking what is the problem.He was sitting next to that lady.I noticed that he was the same guy which we met last year.He told there is no such book there, if you have any complaint in the item we purchased you can register.In his way of response it seems that they are giving some free there."If you want to buy some;buy and go"That was his mentality.
We left out of the shop by deciding that we NEVER come to Nandilath in the life and if any chance to deby others NOT to go there we will do at any cost.
At last we purchased all the items what we want from QRS.Such is the costumer service they are offering...
attitude of nadilath g mart ernakulam sales persons are so horrible i quit.
we all do it out of excitement and they take undue advantage of it... so think before you jump to purchase items from such stores who cheats their customers and entertain after sales services.. i was browsing the net to get the contact numbers to find out a couple of items (LCD - W/M - Refrigerator) from them and found these irritating comments from their customers... it's really horrible! i am now thinking of alternative options as i thought being one of the leading suppliers they might provide quality services! it is our hard earned money so think before you spend! also their prices to too high when comparing with their competitors.
I bought a television of 14 inches from Nadilath G Mart, Karamana, Thiruvananthapuram on 12/2009. Now a red shade is seen in the screen and the picture is seen in scrambeld manner. The company's name of the TV is Passion. Have u cleared this problem with or without payment.

I have experienced same in july 2010.I purchased a LG make automatic washing machine.It was unpacked by LG service Person in my house. I found lot of scrathes on the panel.Immediatley I contacted G mart with out any arguments they agreed to replace the item, but I have to take the item back to shop.Finally they replaced with new piece.Other thig I noticed was thermocole packings of first machine was broken and joined with tape this made more douts that this piece was packed and unpacked many times.But I lost transportation charges rs 400.They said they can take back with thier vehicle but it will take some days, but my due to urgent requirement I myself arranged transportation.

We purchased a Samsung LCD TV 5 Series from Nandilath G Mart, Pattambi show room on August 21st, 2010. After the payment, they packed the TV which had many scratches and looks like old one. immedidately we noticed it and requested for a replacement, but it went into arguments and THE MANAGER WORKING THERE STARTED SHOUTING AND MAN HANDLED(BEAT) ME. then I called police and they came to the show room and asked them to deliver fresh piece on time. And we got poor service from the showroom and I request all fellow customers not to buy any goods from such in decent dealer

I totally disagree with this complain, I bought a 42" LCD, Fridge, Washing machine, Microwave, OTG & Home Theatre from Trivandrum Nandilath.

Being an employee of Microsoft, Bangalore I did enough research on Web, and I never got a good feedback about Nandilath. But to my surprise they gave me the best price, some are even cheaper than Bangalore.

Still I was bit reluctant to buy from Nandilath as the feedback about the product quality & service was not that good. I met a sales Manager Shiju he was very helpful in giving confidence in Nandilath and I would say he is very helpful and very responsive. I have no complaints about any of the products I bought from Nandilath and their support is awesom.

To my understanding all these complaints are false propaganda by other sellers as they are not able to match with the price of Nandilath.
Wow, the guy from Microsoft.. ( hope its not BILL ) from Bangalore...vouching for Nandilath is fine, but i guess he should respect the other people who bought from there and terming them as lier ( since he has mentioned its a false propaganda for price fixing by others )

also people who don't work for Microsoft do a lot of research on web, before spending their hard earned money.
Long live sales manager Shiju, as he is a such a sweet heart ( according to Bill ) .. so please ask Shiju to be in touch with all other people who has complaint, after buying the product

end of the day, its all about customer service, who ever does it will attract more customers... price is one factor, dealing with people is another

I bought new LG 20 Ltr Solo Microwave MS-2029UW on Aug 2010 from Nadilath Irinjalakuda Thrissur dt Kerala.As per LG mentioned on LG 20 Ltr Solo Microwave MS-2029UW box I should get Start UP kit But they didn't given the kit.They clearly cheated me .Now only I realized the cheating things through LG customer care.So I need get back the start up kit shortly.Please tell me How can I go head to recover my start up kit.
Friends... I was planning to buy a samsung 40" LCD from Nandilath as i heard the price is comparatively less. Now when i read all your comments Im feeling a bit hesitant.. what shall i do..? should i go for QRS...
Biggest fraud company.after paying the bill for 47"samsung tv, they are telling that the offer along with the tv which is the dish tv connection with subscription is not available in their show room.they asked to collect it from another nandilath showroom.I went there, they told that even they do t have the dish tv.I called the manager of the edapilly nandilath show room(forgot the name of that fraud)and he started barking like a dog.then I called the manager of the showrooms, explained the story.he called me back and apologized for the behavior of that fraud sales manager and arranged Airtel connection the next day itself.
That was the last time I visited nandilath.never in my life I will allow any one related to my family to purchase anything from that fraud cheating company.
NIKSHAN electronics Kannur is the worst one in KANNUR...

Nandilath is a damn hell show room...they thinks that people need just cheap thinks and discounts. infact now a days people prefer quality than discounts. here kannur showroom is a big flop for them. they dont have products of sony and other higher brands. instead they sell products like vinverth and other cheap china products. also they dont give much discounts too. even after big bargains, the price which these people says will be 5-10% more than the other retailers. People, pls pls dont go to this hell for purchasing any products...
Their services after purchase is very, very poor.They have sublet this installation services to people and now the customer is in the air after purchaseand paying the full payment.Is this a customer service or customer fooling service
