[Resolved] SBI Cards — Harassment over 9 months despite payment made in 2009 | |||
Reinstatement of Card No. [protected]; Contact No. [protected] I have sent 8 mails since January on the feedback.[protected]@ge.com and head.[protected]@ge.com id - and i have received no positive response except automated mails. I have made a payment of Rs.103026/- through the following cheques in 2009 1) CHQ NO. 087406 DT. 27-07-09 AMT 40,000/- 2) CHQ NO. 087409 DT. 05-08-09 AMT 31,513/- 3) CHQ NO. 087410 DT. 05-09-09 AMT 31,513/- SBI letter dated 27-Jul-09 confirms that my card will be reinstated on receipt of the 3 payments. SBI Letter Ref No. DEL/REC/FIELD/JULY09/460 Despite clearance of payments SBI has dishonoured commitment of their letter and I have not received the reinstated cards. Unfortunately SBI has also not updated records and my card account shows a default of Rs. 97,327.66 as on 16/07/2010. Via an SMS on 16/07/10 at 11.07 AM SBI has informed me that they have sent a Lok Adalat Notice to me. I called their helpline no.[protected] on 16/07/10 at 12.18 PM and spoke with Himanshu Sachdeva Customer Care Executive who after keeping me on hold for 5-8 minutes informed me that his Manager Kaustav Banerjee has said I should speak with my Lawyer. He did not transfer my call to his manager saying he was in a meeting. CONSIDERING I HAVE RECEIVED NO RESOLUTION FROM SBI IN THE LAST 5 MTHS IT IS CLEAR THAT SBI CARDS IS NOT IN THE PRACTICE OF RESOLVING CUSTOMER ISSUES AND CONTINUES TO HARASS CUSTOMERS WITH WRONG DATA UPDATIONS AND MOST IMPORTANTLY DISHONOURING COMMITMENTS.
