[Resolved] SBI Verified By VISA Service — Cannot Register Debit Card | |
As per RBI guidelines all online users has to register their Credit Card/ Debit card for online purchases. I use SBI ATM cum Debit card for most online purchases. The online website of SBI www.onlinesbi.com has a link for Verified by VISA link, which are meant for registering the ATM cum Debit Card (as there is a different site for registering a Credit Card). However this link which directs you to https://cardsecurity.enstage.com/ACSWeb/EnrollWeb/SBI/main/index.jsp which offers State Bank of India 3D-Secure Services. This however requires you to register. However the registration page does not take you anywhere after you have provided your Debit card no. and ATM pin no. In fact the space accepts only 8 digit, but stangely accepts the last 3 digits also. I have trying with IE8, Firefox, Chrome, Opera ad other browsers, but the same error of page not found emerges. To top it all the contact emal seems to be inactive and mail bounces back. This is pure incompetence on the part of SBI in maintaining e-services through thier portals. Although I am also a SBI netbanking user. Mails to SBI ellicits no response or solution. Its useless to phone the toll free number given in the site as some always answers these calls from the call centres. Please register these complaints so that SBI can inform and give much better services to its customers. Was this information helpful? | |

Despite being the largest Bank in India today...SBI is far from being perfect when it comes to be a competent player, they lack the professionalism required to provide such a service...it seems that they purely depend on their reputation rather then doing some real work...hopeless bank hopeless services, too many products which they can't handle...I have been trying to register my card at a link which is given in their own brochure supplied with the card but it doesn't work at all, here it is : https://acs.onlinesbi.com/sbi/enrollment/enroll_welcome.jsp...I have decided to throw the card in the dustbin (of course after cutting it into pieces), it deserves to be there.
I am also not able to register my card vbv. OTP not receiving.
sir, I am having problem registering for verification by Visa. I am really astononished at the deplorable online service in this regard. If the services are not immediately improved I will positively send at least ten copies of all the complains in this regard and the problem with your call centres to THE PMO to bring this to proper notice in view of his digitisation effort.
Those who have SBI Debit card, They must register their card Number with SBI First.
