[Resolved]  Sony Ericsson — Service and repairs

I had got the Joy stick of my Sony-Ericsson K750i repaired from a Sony-Ericsson service center in Gurgaon, but after 2 days of that the phone display went white, and when I took the phone back to the service center the manager refused to handle the phone he said that the phone may have got damaged due to the software getting corrupted or some problem in the main board of the phone, how ever he confirmed that the Cap of the Joystick was not fixed properly. The cold response from the the Store manager made me write to the Sony-Ericsson customer service mail id, how ever I did not get any response from them.

sir/madam,

i am using sony erricson W580i. due to an accident my mobile got broken.i had checked, and every part is working ok. but screen had been broken. now the thing i wanna ask is please gimme some rough idea, what will be the cost of new screen for the same i.e screen of W580i.
i'll be very greatful to u and hoping for some positive reply.

Hello

I bought a new K810i mobile. While we use FM on any of the mobile phones across India it provides the facility to change the channels with the help of headset(mirophone) only but my cell doesnt support this functionality.

Is there any solution for this or shall i assume it as one of the drawbacks for K810i

sony erricssion w380i — faulty display of mobile handset

The set purchased by me on 24 june 2008 of model w380i has been persistent with its display problems since. i have already got it repaired thrice from indore service centre of sony erricssion within six months of its date of purchase.

Sony Ericsson — Very poor service

I purchased a Sony Ericsson phone (model no S500i) with serial no[protected],
after six months there was display problem in the phone.
There was no physical damage to the phone, and since the product is under warranty, they charged me
Rs.2200 inclusive of service charges, mentioning the fact again that the product was under warranty.
the bill no of the cash receipt is #3484 and dated 9/01/09
and i was asked to come 4 times to check the phone, and the service center being 6 kms away from my residence.
So as per me, the charges collected is unfair as per the terms and conditions of the company.
Moreover the services provided by the service center is not satisfactory.

If changing keypad takes 1 week..then its really nothing to say...i have been waiting for 1 week to get back my phone...where i was told that i will get it back within a day...this is not expected from sony ericsson.

Sony Ericsson — complaint

sir, this is to inform u about the dissatisfying services provided to
the customers by authorized service center and customer care.
sir, i've purchased a new sony ericsson cell phone, model no. c905
worth rs 31, 200 from mobile store delhi. the warranty provided was of
1 year, whereas the set started malfunctioning within one month.
first the ear piece went down and then distortion in display started.
it used to go blank and auto off.

we reported the problem in the authorized service center unit of
dehradun on 8th jan 2009. the complaint id was SES09AIN10058.
now the problem is that they are giving us date on date. i've shown
them my urgency but they are just making fake excuses and troubling
us. sometimes they say that there is some work going on in the company
HQ in chandigarh and sometimes they reply that they have no solution
of the problem occuring in the phone...

u reply me what to do in such a condition????

I also am 1 of the tortured owner of Sony Ericsson K850i, and guess what, after i browsed the consumer forum i was quickly able to make it out that most of the complaints on K850i is that the phone restarts itself which also is one of the problem with my handset . This actually is a manufacturing deffect which the company was aware off, that being the reason the company had manufactured limited phones and stopped it . Our fight should be against Sony Ericsson . pls reply to me ASAP [protected]@rediffmail.com .
I have w850i mobile purchased from kuwait in Dec.2006. Sometimes, i find no missed call notification. When i do master reset, this problem remain resolved.

Recently, 4 arrow keys and middle enter key is not working at all. After longer minutes, suddenly it starts working. I do not understand what is the problem behind this. This causes me to get exasperated in the extreme that i throw my mobile on solid material to make it fragile. Because when i am in an emergency to call someone or see the contact list, it makes me crazy only because of these arrow keys no working and makes me to criticize my decision why i purchased this model.

If you can help me to solve this mine, i shall be greatful to you.

Sony - Cybershot W110 — Debit Card Payment & Non Responsiveness and Misbehaviour of Dealer

This is in regard with a case wherein I want to lodge a complaint against one of the farnchises operating in Ajmer, Rajasthan. I Arun John Varghese purchased a Sony CyberShot camera (W110) on 2/1/09 from your exclusive outlet in Ajmer -> SONICELECTRONICS, "Udaijyoti", IndiaMotorsCircle, Ajmer.305001Since it was weekend there was a lot of rush at the SBI ATMs in Ajmer.I enquired to the concerned person at your outlet about payment by debit card to which he agreed instantly.I purchased the above mentioned model the price of which was 9990 /-.The bill was prepared in the name of Rabecca Arun Varghese (VAT Invoice No-2990) before swiping my card.After that my card was swapped thrice but the statement was not printed.The person concerned informed that the machine was having some probelem and told me to pay by cash.I along with an employee of that showroom went to the crowded ATM and after waiting for 45 minutes at the ATM I finally got the cash.But at the same time my mini statement was reflecting a debit of 9990 /- which the person concerned swiped for the payment.I reported this matter instantly to the person at the showroom.He called up some person whom he called was the head of all the process at Jaipur.After his conversation he told me that the amount was debited from my account but has not reached to his Axis Bank account due to some technical probelems.Finally when I asked about the solution he said that I will have to pay the entire amount by cash and the amount debited from my account will be credited within 3 days.I checked my account today i.e on 8/1/09 and till now the said amount has not been credited.Seeing this I went to the Sony showroom to enquire about the proceedings.And the very same person who attended me earlier responded in a very cold way to my query.He was very authoritative and rude in his response and he also said that the process is still going on but he cannot assure as to when it will be done.His attitude was really disheartening and he clearly said that he is not working for any one customer and that he owns many other showrooms and that he gets only 3% commission from Sony for which he has invested more than 3 lacs.He has finally declared and challenged me to do whatever I can but he cannot help me in anyway to solve my probelem. Now as a loyal Sony customer I just want to ask certain questions and make certain things clear to the people sitting at the top who are just distributing franchises to any fool who has potential to invest money.How can Sony give its franchise to a person who is least proud of the brand he is selling ?How can Sony estabilish itself in a country like India where emotional bonding is the most descisive factor of purchasing ?Is Sony here to sell only one product to a customer ? Dont they need repeat customer?Is it justified that a person purchasing a product worth 9990 /- should block the same amount and that too for 5 days ?Does every customer have to pay the double amount of the product ?After such a bad experience does Sony expect that this customer will ever go to your exclusive outlet for a purchase ?
Will such a big brand survive in Indian market with such cheap downtrodden and unresponsive customer service and so called support ? The person at the showroom happily noted my number during the purchase but nobody from the showroom bothered to make a call worth 2 Rs to enquire whether my probelem was solved or not.And inturn he talked in a very rude, unapologetic and humiliating manner.In the end

Sony Ericsson — Sony Ericsson R300 Fm not working from the day one.

I had purchased your R-300 model of Sony Ericsson on 9th Jan, 2009.After reaching home i checked the functions and found that its FM sound was too low at higher volume.Next day i have contacted the showroom from where i had purchased the mobile(M-Planet), they seek the same and suggest me to reset all settings and it will fine.Now its my turn to check the same & problem remains same at his place.I have searched out the details on net shared my problem at yahoo answers.com.While browsing i got the details of sony customer care.I called them and briefed the issue.They suggested me to contact service centre.Afterthat i visited service centre & let them know about the same, they told its just a software problem let us upgrade your software and it will be fine.Results nill and problem with the same place.Also they checked my handsfree and it was working fine.They asked me to leave the handset & handsfree and they checked and find out where and what is the problem?
My question is that i am the first fool who thinked and tried to swithched my mobile from nokia to sony? I want to get the set replaced or my money back otherwise i will lodge this case in consumer forum & give out a article in Times Group of India about this happening will effect your goodwill in market and show the fact to the general public.

Sony - Ericsson C702 — fraud seller

DEAR SIR,

TODAY(16/01/09) I PURCHASED SONY-ERICSSON C702 FROM ARORAS D.P.ELECTRONICS PVT. LTD., 6 MADAN STREET, KOLKATA-72. THE INVOICE NO IS:dpe/11086.

THEY'VE TAKEN TOTAL RS.15800(RATE RS.15192+[protected]@4%+ROUNDED OFF RS. 0.32).

BUT LATER I FOUND THE ACTUAL M.R.P. PRINTED ON THE WRAPPER BOX IS RS.15495 AND THERE WAS A STICKER FIXED OVER THIS PRINT WHICH STATED THE M.R.P. OF RS.16500. THE BOX WAS LAMINATED BY A FULLY TRANSPARENT PLASTIC COVER UNDERNEATH WHICH "KOLKATTA" IS WRITTEN BY A BALL POINT PEN.

WHEN I WAS BUYING THE PRODUCT THE SALESMAN SHOWED ALL KIND OF FORMALITIES AND SHOWED ME AS IF THEY ARE TAKING LESS PRICE WHICH WAS PRINTED ON THE WRAPPER BOX.

BUT WHEN I RETURNED HOME I FOUND THAT THEY ACTUALLY TOOK THE FAKE PRICE.

I SHALL BE HIGHLY OBLIGED IF YOU KINDLY TAKE SOME STEPS AGAINST THEM SO THAT NOBODY GETS DISTURBED BY THESE FRAUD SELLERS.

Sony / W810i — Harrasment by service center & helpdesk

i own a sony ericsson W810i and its within warranty period. It is giving frequent display problem, every time i went to sony ericsson service centre, and they are doing something after three to four day again the same problem.this happend 5 time in 6 month duration. since from last time they are taking 20 to 25 days time.they just want to pass away the warranty period of my cell. i want to take a strict action against them.

I brother gifted me a Sony Ericsson cell phone(w580i), in the month of May.
After a month the vibration of the set went off. Next 15 days when the vibration started automatically, it went for auto restart. The service Center said it might be because of the hot climate. Next thing happened was the major issue in October, when the set totally went DEAD. From that time till now my set is with the Customer Service Center, and is still been diagnosed what exactly the problem is. They tried really hard to find out any physical damage of moisture absorbing, but could not succeed. Its been 3 months i haven't even seen my cell phone what should i do...?? No one has an answer. Can any one help or should i report this issue to the CONSUMER FORUM.

i am kritika sharma from raipur.i purchased a mobile set S302 from your authorized dealer in raipur (chhattisgarh) and i found that it's battery cover and one of it's key is dammaged. the phone memary alrady having some photos of constructing the showroom building, that proving the phone is alrady used.we alrady complain about it to the shop owner but he said "we would only change the outer cover of the cell phone that also after seven days". the purchasing date is[protected]. i also have it's cash memo.can you please tell me what can i do for this.Becauze i have got an second hand mobile @ of a new one.
