Dear Sirs,
Sub: Dis-satisfactory service and action taken from Sony Ericson service center at Malleshwaramam,Numeric Communication Services,Bangalore.
Ref:Workorder Number: SE311Nu114750 on Nov2,2011.Model Name: W20(Sony zylo)purchased on 23/7/2010
I had submitted my above handset at the service center mentioned above.My problems reported were 'No text or picture display, earspeaker problem and other data communication problems" , The quoted words are mentioned in the work order. While surrendering the phone, the staff nmember at the counter had informed me that as per the terms and conditions of Sony , first the set would be sent to the office and after getting the estimate of the cost, the set would be repaired. If we did not want to accept the estimate , we can refuse repairing and a charge of Rs.100/-would be charged as handling charges. It would take around three weeks to tell the estimate and repair the set. After three weeks,when I called your service center, she said the estimate ould pay only Rs.1700/- and take the set. Otherwise, let them return the set as I had handed it to them before.was Rs.1700/-(Rupees one thousand seven hundred only)and I asked her to go ahead with the service as I found it a reasonable charge.
Surprisingly, when I called her to find whether the phone was ready, I was shocked to find that the phone was already repaired and I was asked to cough up Rs.3700/- and that too there was a warranty of only 15 days. I have now called the service center and told them very clearly that I can't pay such a high price and asked them to either reduce the charges to the amount quoted earlier or to return my hand set as it was given to them in the condition when i had submitted it for service .
Even after repeated calls, they have been dilly-dallying and are unable to settle my issue I havebeen calling them since one week over the matter and they just do not respond properly It has almost been a month since I have given my phone for repair and I am finding it very difficult to manage without my handset.In the job sheet there is a term which states that if the handset is not colllected within 45 days of intimation of repair, the service center has the rights to auction the set.
I request the higher authority concerned of Sony Ericson, who deal with such a complaint and do justice to my case and take action as early as possible.
