Sony — laptop adapter not working

Sir, I D.Siva Hemanth brought a laptop of sonyvaio E-Series on 5 th august 2013. After 10 days i have a small cut in the cable of the adapter which is negligble. Even though there is a cable my adapter worked very well till last week. Suddenly the adapter stoped working because the adapter is not taking the power.My warranty extends up to July 2014. I have submitted my adapter to sony service center vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. So i can't submit a photo proof. Considering the cable cut as negligble please consider the warranty of the adapter and give me a new one. I am requesting u sir.
