I purchased a sony walkman nwz-w202 from a sony authorised dealer in Vizag last year Oct 10. However, I could use the player only till may this year. I have been running from service centre to dealer to online customer care center but every one insists on the warranty card as well as the purchase invoice etc without which they are refusing to take any action. The serial no of my piece is 5500432. What I dont understand is the difficulty which I have to go through to argue and make a set of people understand the issue which is caused by a defective equipment manufactured by a reputed company like sony. I also searched on the net and have now come across innumerable similar complaints all over the world and a news item where in sony had replaced the defective pieces. But in my cases the people are saying that I would have to pay money to get the set replaced. and there too, the warranty lasts for a year. Looks a fantastic deal for a company to manufacture which fails after 13 months and needs replacement but at a price. This is not the customer experience I expected from Sony. So please help. Rs 5000/- may not be big for sony, but it is pretty big for someone who gets only two earpieces connected by a wire and does nothing for that money. Was this information helpful? |
