No service for PS#
I purchased Sony Play station 3 from E-zone Kormangla on 09/01/2009.
Model no: CECH-H08/D-40GB-PS3,
Serial no : 8950147
Last week my console was not powering on . I contacted the toll free number.
I was informed to go to a service center.
I went to the service center in Indira Nagar, was informed that they do not have authorization to repair PS3.
After my insistence they took the console to check the issue.
Again I called the toll free number, was informed that PS3 cannot be repaired it can only be replaced.
Since mine is out of warranty period, was offered 50% off for purchasing a new console.
I find it absurd for a company like Sony to sell a product and not service it.
and the belwo reply from sony is even worse.
