baggage damage and denial of claim
On arrival at RGIA airport in Hyderabad on 13May around 9:45PM, we showed damaged baggage to agent at Spicejet baggage desk. Agent acted as if entering something into his terminal. There were three terminals at desk. One lady at the desk was reading "Menzies aviation" on her terminal. Agent took baggage tag number, sequence number etc. Agent did not give any written baggage deviation report and said he had all information necessary and assured that someone from Spicejet will call me the next day. I also confirmed that they had my mobile phone number in their system. After I got no response for a few days, I called Spicejet customer service number and logged a complaint. Spicejet did an investigation, a few people called me in between. Finally on 20th May denied everything and said they did not find that any complaint was logged about damaged baggage in Hyderabad airport that day. Spicejet seems to have unethical people running their baggage operations in Hyderabad. Please insist on written complaints in such cases, as spicejet employees seem to be indulging in unethical behavior in dealing with customer complaints. Do not trust Spicejet employees and insist on a written confirmation for any transaction or complaint.
