[Resolved]  Spice Jet Airlines — No extra baggage for the infant

I booked a ticket for my wife and kid (2 months old) to travel from Delhi to Kolkata by Spice Jet. I requested the Airlines (Ms. Anjali / Customer care manager) for extra baggage allowance for my kid as the allowed limit of 20 kg check-in and 7kg hand baggage is not sufficient for a mother traveling with a kid. I was told that there is no baggage allowance for the kid which I believe is unfair given that they are charging 1000 Rs for the infant. Logically speaking the above mentioned baggage limit is for an adult passenger considering normal travel luggage. In that case does the Airline mean that the kid would not have any luggage for the travel? Other airlines like Indian Airlines do not charge for the traveling infant. Therefore I feel that this policy of Spice Jet is completely unfair and should be reviewed.
