Dear sir,
I Have taken a health Insurance from Star Health Insurance, My wife Asha Fell Sick One day and was suffering from sever fever and head ache and loose motion, i took her to vikram hospital and they told me that she is having 102 F fever they told me that he has to get admitted for further investigation, i got her admitted we ahd the medical Insurance cover and submitted all my documents, she was hospitalised for 3 to 4 days and at the time of Discharge the hospital was stating that the claim has been rejected, we were shocked and called the bangalore customer care offce and we had a big argument with them, In the begning they were stating that patient was admitted without fever, later we showed them the proof that of the document at the time of admittion, later after several call they came to a conclusion and sent accross a person from star health insurance to the hospital, His name was Vijay , he came and did some investigations and later told us we will get the coverage , after 4 hours we got a call from hospital that we got an approval of 50% of claims , I was forced to pay the remaning money arround 15,000/-rs and got my wife discharged,
Why people lie at the time of asking us to take the Insurance, what we have a insurance and some thing serious happens and we trusting that we have a insurance ,
dear Sir pl help me on this , I have all relavent documents against them to launch a complaint.

i am totally in agreement with mr. ramesh. they are cheating people rather exploiting the ignorance of the poor. i was cheated as late as feb. 2012. when i applied for the policy they did not tell me about medical check up. one week after collecting cash they asked me to go for a medical check up. then i was issued with certificate stating that cvd excluded. i checked with the agent who had no clue about cvd. then i checked with the great branch manager who explained cvd. i was told that there is some problem in ecg. i was really worried. then i had two other ecgs which were perfectly normal. i went to the manager and asked him how is it possible to have problem in your ecg. he said i quote our ecgs are read by 'EXPORT' doctors. see the standard of star health branch manager. then i went to doctor who read the ecg on the company's behalf. he said that he only had a small doubt. and he said that the ecg. is to be read in the presence of the person and if any doubt to be seen by a specialist. the authorities please confirm is this the policy of star health. then i went back to the great manager who was very arrogant and non-co-operative.he told me to have an echo test and tmt. which i did and it was perfectly normal. i had to spend about inr. 3500 for the same and all the trouble moving forth and back. when i brought the certificate he said that i have to get it in their form for which i had to go to the doctor again. ultimately i got my corrected certificate on the 6th of june. i paid the money on the 9th of feb. the agent is number one cheat. i do not want to continue this policy. if any competent authority from start health is through this mail and is interested in their business can revert to my email id [protected]@yahoo.com. i have not revealed the names of the persons but will do so at the appropriate time. for the kind information of all who read this to not get cheated by star health insurance

this is the case of pre-existing dieases and the defination of pre existing dieases is :- either you know or not .
either you treated or not that diseases will come in pre existing, because tumar can not creat in 3 months

Star Health Cheating each and everyone .. A one insurance company that is cheating and we cant do anything?? Do u have answers for this then plz tell me.. am also star health sataya hua policy holder...

I agree with majority of the complaintants that these insurance companies particularly star health companies are licensed cheaters.I do not know why Government is not banning such insurance companies which are mushrooming in number and encashing innocense and ignorance of public.Their shutters should be pulled down for ever.I request National consumer forum/Consumer rights protection forum to initiate some legal action against such cheating companies.

I have take STAR insurance for family after there month my wife got sick admitted in hospital and notified to insurance they visited hospital and signed papers then discharge day they fail to payment asking irrelevant papers final they told you claim then I paid hospital bills then, applied claims to SATR INSURANCE the refused paying asking irrelevant questions. they cheated us we have no time to go on further to court. PLEASE DONT BELIVE STAR INSURANCE CHEATING. careful with STAR INSURANCE WHEN NEED COMES THEY ARE MAKING PEOPLE SUFER cheating.

I have STAR INSURANCE for my father in law . He was admitted for fever, the cashless was rejected stating that there is preexisting disease. Whereas the treatment & admission was done for fever & medicines were given for the existing case. They advised me to claim a reimbursement which I did, I only received 25% amount stating various reasons which was not acceptable. STAR insurance is just fooling people putting consumers in trauma. An hospital will conduct all investigations during hospitalization including MRI, CT SCAN. Few amount were rejected stating that the treatment was not related to the illness.

I taken a Star Health Red Carpet insurance for my mother, Paid Premium around Rs 20000/- when there is a claim came for Rs 6500/- they denied due to pre-existance disease not mentioned in the form. as per the policy stating that we will get 50 % if its is pre-existance disease but they denied the Claim. here with attaching the document recived from Star Health insurance office to Hospital stating the claim denied
