It is a proud moment for Bengal that the Maa serial is being remade in Hindi for Star One(Life OK channel), to be aired from 18th december. The name of the serial is "Meri Maa..Geeli aakhen pooche tu kahan"..The popularity of the serial in Bengal has made the channel start it for the national audience..Really, what Bengal thinks today, India thinks tomorrow!
Though sometime get bored, I try to manage to see the serial at least 60 % of the time. No doubt, there are bad patches, but there are good patches too. However, I do not understand why they are not going for the BLOOD TEST, which might give the 85 % proof that Jhilik is the offspring of Mukherjee family. 15 % proof would come from the evidence from the story/ drama till date.

Maa is made in Hindi... What's there so special about it... Hundreds of Hindi serials are aired... Most of them are remakes of... Either Gujarati, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam even Pakistani...

When This Maa Serial will end please inform us
Though the director is changed in MAA-Phase 2 with Jhilik as a 18 year old girl, stupidity still continues.
1. Akhil was caught red handed of misappropriation of fund by her Didi & knowing fully about his dishonesty, he was asked by his Didi to bring a huge amount of Rs.Two Crore in cash from the bank.
2. To purchase a house worth Rs.Two Crore, some sort of agreement, legal formalities like sale deed are mandatory. It appears the serial is being produced for the children.
3. To buy a house, no body pays an amount like Rs.2, 00, 00, 000/-in cash before completing all formalities. The director could easily manage the transaction as an advance of Rs.5, 00, 000/- as advance, which was needed for the operation of Pratima.
4. So far I know, no bank in this country can pay an amount of Rs.Two Crore within two hours, without any advance notice.
5. I also have doubt, whether it is allowed by any bank to pay such a big amount in cash. Such transactions are generally made in cheque according to IT rules. It is hard to believe that a business woman like Didi does not know such procedures.
I request the producers to please advise directors & story writers to apply some common sense & general knowledge before telecasting.
We are tired of this brainless extension of the story.

please stop the maa serial, we all are bored. what we have to learn from the serial? Positive things or negative sights?
Eksomoy birokti mone kore kono serial e dektam na. kintu goto koek mas maa serial e moje achi. good luck Jhilik.
aparajita addhya is doing an awesome act...let her continue and let her and jhilik's relation remain as sweet as ever...like a true mother-daughter relation.Any bad relation between them will not be accepted very well by the audience
jhilik is acting selfish by thinking about his own mother, when her foster mother has done lot more for her. She should realise it. Now she will again go to pratima's house as a nurse. Some other person will take position in her place and make lots of problems in Moni's life. Jhilik should save her also coz as per the story, the woman has nobody other than jhilik.pratima has a son and a family!!! finally moni should get jhilik married to her son and jhilik should stay with mani. that willl be a logical ending. otherwise this serial will only reduce to a bundle of tears without any lesson. a woman does evrything for her foster child and gets no reward!!!

the serial is getting boring...this is showing jhilik as selfish...she thinks of only her mother...but not moni who loved her so much...now moni will be ill and die...for sure...we watch serials for happines...hence from today we will not watch...as we feel serial is drifting to loads of tear and selfishness from jhilik...horrible...jhilik could have made moni her mother in law...her son could have returned..but nothing is happening...
this is written by bunch of illiterates... hate venkatesh films... only telecast their own soaps 5-6 times... gaaner opare stopped... roilo ferar nimontron stopped... meghler polok stopped... adiwitya stopped... now its turn for bhalobasha.com and aporajito to stop... instead of calling star jalsa... the channel should be called ohm venkataswer nohmoh...

Jhilik's attitude is beyond normal thinking, who has no character or fine feelings.
God knows why Pratima Mukherjee tolerates Fulki inspite of her ugly behaviour, while she threw out Jhilik. A real abnormality.
While Pratima Mukherjee feels the presence of Pori, as & when Jhilik was around, she could not feel Pori, while throwing Jhilik out of the house.
We are tired of the Serial.
In fact i stopped viewing the serial, but still seeing the serial only for Aparajita Adhya, who is real wonderful. an actress of real class. It's a pleasure to see her acting as Moni.

I never saw such a slow serial. It is just for extension & extension as the producer & story writers have no further clue. So to occupy half an hour less ad times, requires a slow movement of story, which makes the serial further boring.
Jhilik's attitude is beyond normal thinking, who has no character or fine feelings.

1st time Maa serial good-very good, but present time Maa serial so very boring. I want Maa serial cam-back to full Popularities. Other ways Maa serial is lost tow-day and tumorous.
The director is a spineless, heartless creature full of sadism. The story is absolutely rubbish. A few examples:
1.Can somebody trust Akhil after he committed two crimes - i)stealing Rs 5 lakhs from locker ii)Robbing Rs 2 crores? He was made in-charge of the nursing home by the victim without giving him any punishment!!
2.Dipu knows that Jhilik is pori but being a well wisher of the family, he never discloses!
3. Pori character is so complex that she can rescue his brother from his odd friends, but cannot not make a phone call to Moni or the Doctor from local pco after she lost her mobile!
4. Any character who committed crime was not punished and any character who did a god job was not rewarded. In fact, it was just opposite.
The serial must be stopped immediately.

Most of the comments are ok. The story writer and the Director are damaging indian social culture by portraying absurd characters like Arati, Dipu and even Pratima in Maa.For the sake of prolonging a story these guys went mad and lost their common senses.Irrational and impractical happenings are being piled up every week. I have stopped to watch Star jalsha's two more Drama serial Like sidur khela /Sangsar suker...and decided along with our family members not to switch anymore to star jalsha after Maa finaly ends? For god's sake stop repeatation and repeatations and slow motions to kill time .Please do not think star jalsha authorities are very clever and viewers are all stupids. The actore are however excellent in all the serials I watched but the Directors are blackening their faces. Please stop and be practical .Please do not portray indian women and men so croocks.

star jalsa is a fully rubbish channel. and in its serial maa serial is the most rubbish serial i ever watch in my life. the of this drama are already bored by watching this channel.
