[Resolved]  State Bank of India — INTer City Charges

I have SBI account in Coimbatore Branch, these people has charged me Rs.50 as Inter city Banking Charges. Today people have their business so extended that they receive money from various states. If SBI is charging unwabted charges like this, thn I have to stop Banking with them. I have account in Karur Vysya Bank and Axis Bank too and they dont even charge for Internet Banking too.

SBI be carefull youth's are watching every single movement.

I have SBI savings account in Mumbai - Mulund west Branch. Today I deposited Rs. 1000 in my savings account through Cash deposit machine (CDM) located at Powai IIT Branch.

Later when I checked my account balance through online SBI I noticed that 25 Rs. have been debited, the narration was *********[protected].00 (Dr). I was shocked to see this, I googled this fact & came to a conclusion that probably SBI has charged fees for cash deposit at non home branches i.e. Inter City charges though I had deposited money through CDM.

This is a very regressive measure taken by such a nationalised bank, the services of SBI are below par at all times & now on top of that they are levying these Inter city charges.

Every time it may not be possible for me visit my home branch & deposit money & if at all I want to deposit money in my account through any CDM of SBI; SBI will straight away deduct 25 Rs as charges, this is totally foolishness, better SBI throw away those CDM's. The only solution left with me is to close my banking relationship with SBI :-(

Even private sector banks like ICICI don't impose such charges on their customers, though they do charge fees for the services they offer but their efficiency, quality of services & customer support is a lot better than these nationalised banks.

I deposited rs1200/- and they charged rs57/-. Is the service rate increased?

This is really insane. I had given my account no. to my friend. He deposited 1000rs to me, I got to know that sbi charged me 57rs as intercity charge. For just 1000rs, if you are deducting 57rs. Forget about giving interest, if you're deducting these ways..soon i have to close my account.

This is really insane, i told my friend to deposit 1000rs in my account, as i have seen my account balance while withdrawing, 57rs is been charged as INTERCITY Charge. What the hell is this..just for rs 1000, you are taking 57rs. And forget about giving interest. I am really not happy, thinking to shutdown my account forever. No benefits.

yes !!! frends is true am deposited the sum of INR 3, 000 . They will had charge the sum of 57?????????

Don't use sbi it's full of charges and charges.. not satisfactory

I deposit 3000₹ in my account from other sbi and ₹57 was deducted from my account for INTER CITY CHARGE without any information í ½í¸¥í ½í¸&...⇄

I deposited 7500 in nandanpura branch of sbi & I have an account in main branch jhs ...without prior information 57 rupee is deducted from my account which is more than inter city charges I want my refund other wise inform me the reason of deduction ..

I deposited just Rs. 1000 and they charged Rs.57 for inter city charges. Worst experience ever. They could have informed me prior to deposit. Charging Rs57 for transfer of Rs 1000 is unacceptable under any circumstances.

from my account Rs150 was deducted by SBI as intercity charges. being a leading bank, why the hell they are charging intercity charges for home branch transactions.

I have a SBI account in Tamil Nadu and from the Past two years i am in kerala and i never heard such type of deduction like Inter city charge so far, but this month i have been charged Rs 57 due to one of friend has deposited Rs 20, 000 in my account and again same charges has been deducted from my account for depositing of Rs 1000.

I don't know why they have charged suddenly without any proper information if it continuous then i have relegate the SBI Account.

They are charging money for Depositing the same. They want to recover money of Vijay Malaya from us. They charged me rs.57 for it. This mean 57*50*24*12*5000* =[protected]. (charges*customer per day*total days in month*months*braches(They have more than 17000 branches)), . Sure Sure recoverd in 2 years. And they have more befuzul charges. It's beneficial to open my account in PNB.

Its really a shameful thing to charge something like intercity charges.student's don't have source of income, they open account in the place near to them and parents credit to us from other place.how can the SBI be so stupid for taking this action and that too without intimating.

We are talking about Digital India but not able to solve the "inter city charge" problem created by SBI. Why SBI charging the "inter city charges", why SBI is forcing to visit the home branch for all the needs. Please change the policy remove the "inter city charge", world become local all other bank give all the facility from any branch.

Today,[protected], I have deposited 2500 Rs in SBI Greater delhi Branch but i have my account in SBI Roorkee Branch, after depositing i found that sbi charged Rs. 57 as a inter city charges and without any information this is too much...This is really bad for such a big bank which has network all over the country... They should reverse the charges for even depositing money in the bank... Not fair ...but i will try for refund for money if they don't refund the money this is shame for any bank.

The same has happened with me.
I deposited 9000 & got 57.00 deducted as inter city charges.

What bull rules..!!
What if a person is in job in another area, should he come back to his own home city just to get the money deposited in the Home branch..??

I wonder what was in the minds of elite SBI Personnel's while making these rules, sheer public loot, that's all I can say..

they charges me 57 rs inter city charges for depositing of rs 1500 and i'm not happy with it. now i get that this bank only has a big name nothing else, i opened my account for savings not for unnecessary deduction.

This is highly ridiculous... Gonna start an account in a private bank
