[Resolved] State Bank of India — Auto Deduction of lic premium from my account without my permission
From , Ashish R. Surana, A-3 , Vaastu Classic, Ganesh Nagar, Kathe Galli, Dwarka, Nasik SBI AC No [protected], Old Agra Road Branch, Nasik To, Res Sir, Sub : Nexus between SBI & Bill Desk Respt sir, I Mr. Ashish Surana (B.E.Electronics) have account in SBI ,Old Agra Road, Nashik( AC No [protected]).I had taken net banking facillity. I used to pay my LIC premiums online through above account. I have registered with lic portal for online payments. . I have not taken any ECS facillity from either LIC or State Bank of India still premium Rs 6281 of my one policy no[protected] is duducted automatically from my account on date 20-08-09 . I called to LIC helpline no[protected] for help in this matter ,they told me to enquire to my bank which is SBI. SBI told me that they are not responsible for this problem , I should contact LIC for this. I sent mail to LIC PCMC cell for this . The reply was as below. This is forwarded message to me Actually this message was sent by LIC to [protected]@billdesk.com ( Dear Vishwas,( [protected]@billdesk.com) For policy number[protected] we have received bill pay registration from your end on 26/5/09 and registered the same. But now policyholder is claiming that he has not authorized his banker for the same. Request you to let us know how the policyholder has authorized you for Bill Pay and also let him know the procedure for cancellation of Bill Pay facility at your end. With regards, ADMN. OFFICER, PCMC, CRM DEPT., CENTRAL OFFICE, MUMBAI. ) Mr Vishwas didnot replied this matter to me. Then I contacted to manager of my SBI branch and given him letter to stop my online transaction facillity.I had also memtioned not to allow anybody to deduct from my account without my permission. Still on[protected] again I had received sms from BT-SBI to pay bill of Rs 6281 (same LIC premium) . So again I contaceted to manager of my SBI branch. He was not in position to answer me from where this message came? He rudely told me to close my account. Is this the way bank behave with customers? I agree I am small customer but I have right to ask about transactions on my account. The manager told me that he dont know who had sent the message & he is helpless to stop such transations better I should close my account. This indicated there is nexus between BillDesk & SBI. Without per mission of account holder SBI allow Billdesk to deduct money from any customer's account. Tommorrow BillDesk may run away with our money and SBI will say we dont know. Please take quick action on this matter. Thanking you, Ashish Surana ,Nasik. Was this information helpful?

Actually Sometimes, While Filling the Policy Application Ur Agent might tick the Auto Deduction Field present on the Application...So That Might be the Reason...Just Do One thing Go to LIC Branch and Tell them This Whole Scenario and Tell them to Stop Deducting mOney Request From Their Side...So as They Stop Making Req. Bank WOn't Able to Deduct the Money as well as I[censored] Have Netbanking Go to the Biller Section ON Onlinesbi.com Website and Check Whether there any option present to Stop This...!!!
