[Resolved] State Bank of India — Cash not dispensed by ATM, money got debited | |||
My name is Anirban Chowdhury having SBI a/c no. [protected] at Nehru Market brach(branch code: 5154), Shyamnagar, 24 PGS(N), West Bnegal. I had made a transaction of Rs. 10,000 on 18th Jan’12 from my home branch ATM. The money was not dispensed I got an ATM slip writing some error message written on it. Thinking that a normal failure transaction with no other implication I tore that receipt apart. Next day when I was doing a transaction from the same branch then I notices after seeing my account balance that in my previous transaction the money was debited. The transaction detail is given below: Date: 18th Jan’12 Time: 20:13 Transaction no. 7829 I have made several visits to my home branch and called customer care few times regarding this. They were also saying the transaction went successful and the money might have come which I forgot to receive. Customer care complaint details: Complaint no. :AT[protected] Made on: 9th Feb’12 Resolved on: 16th Feb’12 When I challenged their theory I demanded for the ATM receipt which should be archived or would be stored in database. Because I am sure that I got receipt with error message, so, it can’t be a successful transaction. I have send sms in unhappy customers’ forum by SBI itself. The person told me that he can’t help as in the system its showing successful forum. He also suggested that if I want to get my money back then I have to follow legal steps. I don’t know how to go about it as I am not staying in my hometown. I am at loss, please somebody suggest me ways to rid of the situation. Was this information helpful? | |||
