State Bank of India / Savings Account - Account Opening Process in SBI Pune Main Branch
My name is Deepshankar Dey, and this complaint is against SBI, India largest bank.
Context: I was trying to open a savings account and deposit money in SBi :-).
Description: Just imagine citizens, and beaware because here is a bank who doesnt value any ones time and money, had it been a private bank they would have been backpacking by now.
I went to the Pune main branch approximately 20 days back to open a savings account, with a lot of trouble i got an account opeining form, in the mean time i also got to hear a few harsh words like " wo madam ke pass jao", Computer pe se haath nikalo" etc... finally i fill up the form and submit it to this very well spoken lady, who was the only point of help but had no powers what so ever.
Please mark my words, "this bank can convert automation into manual work, there is a form for everything...every single thing"
I had to fill up a form for Online banking, Debit cards (Joint Account Holder) and god know for what else in future.
Then i had to collect the idiot passbook, and i wasn't surprised to the tone of the teller, they were rude to the core. as in they were passing on a favour on the idiot customers.
I had a few bad instances as well in just 20 days of opening this account, for everyones information these 20 days were utilised by SBI to just open an account.
Finally their online banking never works, i am still waiting (7days) for their online banking credentials to work for me.
SBI Customer service is the most pathetic one i have ever spoken to, even BSNL has a better one, the guys sitting out there dont know heads no tail about their services, there is no co-ordination between bank and the contact center, the only answer they have is "Please Visit The Branch"
Problems in a flash:
1. Bad reception
2. Bad customer service
3. Bad personnel sitting at the teller (Very Rude)
4. Bad co-ordination between customer service and bank
5. No point of contact to get information conveniently ( I can loose anything if you get information at one counter)
6. Bad way of providing facilities - Internet Banking, Pin, Sccount number (SBI would frustrate you so much that you will be forced to not use any of the SBI services)
7. SBI will call you to the branch for everything.
Its been 20 days i haven't been able to operate this account, its still in the initial strugling stage, which is ka Account opening in SBI.
This bank can only operate in villages where people dont know the importace of online banking, customer service and where they would like to go to the branch for every single reason, no offences though.
I have been so frustrated with this service that i have planned to close this account/no operate this account, and open up another account in any other bank, and never ever in my life would i ever engage with SBI for any reason.
