[Resolved]  State Bank Of Travancore — delay in issuing cheque book

i submitted a written request in SBT Thripunithura (Ernakulam dist, Kerala) branch on the next day after Vinayaka Chathurthi. I am yet to receive he cheque book. I have given another letter on 3 October. It is regrettable that what was a simple efficient system earlier of directly issuing the cheque book across the counter by the branch has been made highly inefficient by centralising the process to no apparent advantage to any one, but high inconvenience to the customer. At the bank we see each person sitting with a computer. Instead of increasing efficiency, it has reduced the efficiency for the customer. although the bank may claim that its operations have improved. When such improvements do not result in faster service to customers in such simple matters like issue co cheque books, the system needs to be reviewed. The number of such complaints in this forum itself is proof. While requesting an early action on my complaint, I also request the authorities to review their system to make their service delivery faster, at least t the level when there was no computer. subramania iyer
