[Resolved]  Steria India Limited — PAN ACTIVATION

Dear Sir, My name is Rajni Bala. I had applied to surrender my old PAN card (AEZPG5549K) due to having wrong name updated on it and activating new PAN card (AFQPR9621D) on July 19, 2013 (Acknowledgement No: [protected]). As a proof, I had submitted the bank statement from HDFC Bank along with my application document. However, it has been 2 months since I had applied for the same but still the status of my application at the TIN portal shows 'Your application for 'New PAN Card or/and Changes or Correction in PAN Data' is under process at Income Tax Department' . I have been been calling up the call centres since then however status is unchanged. I was wondering if there was some issue with my application which needs to be sorted out before I get the changed PAN Card. The call centres have not been able to give me any information in this regards and it has been long wait to get the PAN card for me. Considering how important a PAN card is for a salaried individual, I urge you to kindly look into this issue and help me in getting my PAN card at the earliest. Thanks and regards, Rajni Bala
