[Resolved]  Style Spa — Non delivery of furniture

I bought a cupboard from Style Spa in Kirti Nagar for approx Rs 30,000 on 11 Aug 2009.
The cupboard was setup incompletely and has a lock assembly as it was delivered incomplete. A promise was made by the assembler to have it delivered and fixed with 2-3 days.
As it was not delivered or fixed in 2 weeks, I even went down to their showroom in Kirti Nagar to see if I can pick it up and fix it myself. They did not even entertain me and/or even acknowledge that they need to do anything.
In parallel the desks in the cupboard fell apart and collapsed - on inspection I found that the whole desks/drawers had just been thrown in and had not been assembled into the cupboard (a sign of extremely shoddy workmanship). The whole cupboard is now falling apart and it is less than 3 months old.
I have made repeated complaints and even written politely to them - but absolute silence.
It is apparent that the names KK Birla and Podar are the names these cheap theives at Style Spa use to dupe gullible customers and they have only one aim namely to take your money and then to neither deliver, nor assemble, nor even ensure that what they have delivered even works.
This is absolutely a clear cut case of Fraud and no ifs or buts about the case.

We bought a number of furniture items from Style Spa, Guwahati including a bookcase. One glass door of this book case was either delivered chipped or got chipped while the Style Spa people were assembling the fiurniture in our place. After that, it has been a tragedy of errors -

1. For 4 days, Style Spa said somebody will come to replace the glass.
2. Then they sent a personto inspect the glass and measure it for replacement - execpt this guy came without a measuring tape and wanted to borrow one from us.
3. We called up the manager who then said that it will take at least 7 days to get permission from Style Spa HQ before he can do anything.
4. This maanger refused to give me the number of his boss or the service department to complain about a selling approach where you sell new furniture in 5 minutes but take 7 days to get HQ to fix a defective item. Who knows, he probably needs a go ahead from Mr. Birla himself.
