Sulekha is a very popular website & i had ordered Nokia mobile on the best faith. on 8th of may 12 Blue dart courier person was asking for extra money of Rs 430/- as a octroi charges. This is really disappointing due to this additional price mobile cost becomes costlier than its actual price local mobile shop & on the website there is no where mentioned about the octroi charges. Recently i had ordered for a phone from adexmart chennai & i was not charged any octroi charges. I had to refuse the courier because of the extra amount. The status of the courier is also updated in the blue dart website. Kindly update me when i will be given 100% refund back to my credit card. Request you to please refund me my amount before the due date i.e. 20th may. I am yet to recieve a refund.....?I think you have left me with no choice but to fight in a legal way.......... This is with reference to your email dated 21/05/12, regarding the Octroi charges.
We would like to inform you that customer resides in Thane and the octroi charges are being imposed by the state government. Most parcels shipped to Mumbai/Thane are subjected to octroi charges and the parcels which are received without octroi charges may be exceptional. As per Sulekha deals regulations we have provision for the customers to get their octroi charges reimbursed by producing the octroi chalan. This is also mentioned clearly on our site which can be read at http://deals.sulekha.com/terms-and-conditions under the heading OCTROI CHARGES. With respect to this order the refund has been initiated on May 23, 2012 and it should reflect in your bank account within 10-14 days.
