[Resolved] Sunflame Gas Stove — Blast in Glass top of Sunflame gas Stove | |||
Blast in Glass top of Sunflame gas Stove While trying to cook food in Sunflame Gas Burner, the glass top sunddenly burst into small pieces. I got injured along with two of my friends. We had to go to hospital for this. This happened in presence of atleast 15 people and I have photographs as evidence and 15 people as witness. Also on further research I have come to know that this is a common problem with this kind of Sunflame stove, Sunflame is still selling these stoves, knowing fully that this can cause major accidents which can even lead to death... Thanks for the feedback. I was just too impressed by the look of the glasstop gas stove. Now i have decided agianst it.

I Purchase my Sunflame 4 Burner Glasstop Cooking Range in December 2010 and now two of the burners are giving low flame.
This has happened for the second time after the Glass top burst into pieces just after two days of purchasing..
TOTALLY UNSATISFIED..
Kindly get the Flames checked ASAP..

I agree.It happened with me today at 2;30 pm at Jaipur.The stove was 3-burner crystal model.Shame.Dr.J.Lal.
I purchase my 4 burner glass top after Only 2 months it burst into several pieces while making chapaties

I agree to ALYA, today only my Sunflame 4 burner glass top stove burst into tiny pieces. My mother was cooking on it at suddenly the glass broke off. Luckily nobody get injured but all the glass pieces went into the food kept nearby.
Will Sunflame provide replacement of the glass top?

We had the same problem at our house. The glass just exploded with pieces flying all over the place. Also, we indeed read the instruction manual and did not violate any of the recommendations.This is just a faulty design and advise people not to buy at least Sunflame glastop stoves.Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. We had a 3 burner version of GT Stove.
Beware of buying glass top stoves and I think steel tops are the best ones for Indian cooking.

I bought a sunflame cooking range (Regalia SSGT) on 07.11.2013 from Pai International. I did few cooking on this cooking range so far. Today morning without anything falling into it the glass top just burst into pieces and I got hurt on my leg.

I purchased a Sunflame 4 burner glass cooktop, within 1 month o[censored]se the glass top got burst into pieces while cooking. Thank fully no one got injured.
10 months after the glass top was replaced, it once again got burst into pieces while cooking. This time kids were playing around but thankfully no one got injured.
It concludes that the glass cooktop is not suitable for Indian cooking and can be extremely harmful in situation like this.
Please ADVOID buying glass cooktops.

Thank fully no one got injured.
But the glass pieces were thrown on the kitchen floor.we suffered a lot to clean it.
Is it possible to use the stove with out the glass top .Whether this change can be done by Sunflame service centre people.

i was working in the kitchen on my glass gas top suddenly glass bust all in the kitchen luckily i was not hurt.i suggest never ever buy sun flame glass top, don't go on the advertisement if you love your life . i have already posted complains on several sites but i am not satisfied

Please dont but sunflame product at all...They dont provide customer service. I bought a 3 burner gas stove and its small burner was making utensils black within a week. I tried to contact their office but they did not pick up the call. I fed the feedback 2 times and I received an email once only and then I followed up twice but they did not worry about customers at all..
I also face the same situation while cooking dal in the superflame glass top gas top today.
We had purchased this glass stove around 6 years back. I was near the stove and I heard some noise as if something was breaking. I looked everywhere but later realized that it was the glass on the stove breaking. Fortunately no one was hurt.
