[Resolved]  Tanishq — Cheating in Membership Card Anuttara

With this complaint I would like to create an awareness amongst people of a big marketing fraud that Tanishq is running. This is called their Anuttara membership card which promises to give you points on every purchase.

I bought some jewellery in the month of August 2010 and became a permanent member of Tanishq. That time I got around 1000 points. Today i again did some shopping from Tanishq, Churchgate Mumbai showroom and asked the cashier to redeem my accumulated points. I was shocked when he said that you have no points on the card as these points are valid only for 2 years. This is a clear cheating that Tanishq is doing with customers. I then called their customer care and cross checked the same. As expected the answer was yes points are valid only for 2 years. I strongly countered them for this points as they have neither mentioned this on the card nor on the website nor on the membership form.

Next time when you shop from Tanishq please do not become their member and I would also advice to stay away from their Golden Harvest scheme which would also have some hidden facts. As it is Tanishq charges more for gold and making charges as compared to other jewellers of the same repute.
