[Resolved]  Tanishq — High Making Charges

Tanishq - Big cheating happening in the name of gold schemes. High wastage charges and very poor collections. Pls don't invest your hard earned money with them. Dont get carried away by the brand.

very very true...Completely agree with whtever is said here...Unfortunately, peope get fooled by the brand name..Never go to Tanishq again!

This is 100% true, this company fools and loots people in terms on making charges that are too high from any standard...I visited this shop once and bought some stuff and that was my last visit. STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT NEVER EVER VISIT TANISHQ AND SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY - A WISE SUGGESTION.

These Branded companies like Tanishq are making fool to people by taking lot of Making charges on their gold product . Recently i purchased bangel from tanishq of 2 lac and they took 45 thousand making charges on that so i will suggest every one to not by product from these companies & always prefer to buy hallmark gold from your local Jewellers or your family Jeweller from you are taking jewellery from a long time.

instead of investing in these companies, invest in Bank RD, Yes you will get little low return but you can invest that money any where where as if you will invest in tanishq gold scheme you will have to buy Gold jewellery and have to pay huge making charges on that and you can't buy gold & silver coin from that scheme.

So friends beware of these companies.

If you invest 10000 in gold harvest scheme then there is only 2000 Rs difference if i compare from bank RD (int 7.25%).

I fully agree with your complaints, i had the same experience like i bought gold jewelary by exchanging Swiss Gold coin. First they have charged 21% wastege and for the coin 6% tottal it worked 27% With all they are taking Avg Rs.800 to 900 approx. I donot under stand TATA groups why they make so much profit from the people rather thier looting. I understand NO Authority is controlling them, and to no accounts to Governmets or Tax authority for the money they are taking from us Wastage and What about the Gold as wastage and where it goes. Any way Iam taking this matter to Consumer Protection Act.

I purchased a pair of bangles for 1.18k they said the amount is that much for 31.128gms but I was not informed about the making charge that was 20percent.total cheating. Even the gold schemes when even after paying the amount they deduct and then later again imply vat separately.which comes up with no discount

I strongly recommend not to purchase gold jewellery from TANISHQ, as they making fool to customers charging very heavy amount on making charges, I purchased a bangle of 34 grams and they charged 800 rupees per gram as mc means 30 ℅ as gold value was 29030 per 10 gram. Thanks

Rightly said by all the above complainants. The rate of gold per 10 grams is always high that other competitors. If people go there only by seeing the brand then they will be bullied definitely. Other competitors, like Joy allukas, Waman Hari Pethe, Lagu Bandhu which are recognised shops since last 2 decades offer much better rates.

Just One Important Suggestion, if you people are out at any Tanishq outlet let it be in Mall or company outlet PLEASE ASK THE MAKING CHARGES THEY ARE GOING TO CHARGE YOU .
PLEASE ASK THE BREAK DOWN OF BILL BEFORE U MAKE PAYMENT,
I PERSONALLY FOUND THE CHARGES WERE VERY HIGH ALMOST THEY CHARGED 28% AS MAKING CHARGES THAT IS TOO HIGH.

SO PLEASE ENQUIRE THE MAKING CHARGES BCZ THEY ARE NOT GOING TO TELL YOU THAT .

its true, as I have gone to purchase some gold ornaments in Tanisq in Kashipur, same type of sales personnel interaction we had like 24 % making charges even though we pointed out that it should be zero as now a days there is no wastage except making charges, in so many reputed Jewelers charging 8 to 14 %, they did not consider to reduce any percentage, we left . Not bothered as Big business or by name they will get more customers . very bad experience please.

They advertise that making charges are start from 8% in this navratris. As I Know that their making charges are Rs 500+ for per gram but might have some discount for festive season, so yesterday (24-Sep 2017) I visited to tanishq showroom. I asked to sales representative to show me only designs that have less 8-12% making. She told me choose first, than can calculate the making charges and assure that making charges are minimum in these days. We finalize 2 designs. Both have 25% making. I asked again that show me only 8-15% making charges designs but she was not able to show. I give her opportunity to show design which have less making. She found a design that has 20% that was least. Also she tries to make me fool that 25% for both earrings not for one ( ha ha ha).

Tanishq are cheaters, i bought one chain from tanishq 3years ago. After wear and tear it got broken and i thought to buy a new chain by exchanging it, so went ti the same tanishq shop from where i bought it. Now here comes the catch in the story...I BOUGHT IT FOR 21K, 3 LONG YEARS BACK AND NOW WHEN I ASKED FOR THE EXCHANGE ITS PRICE THAT THEY QUOTED IS 15K APPROX. So basicaly i felt like so stupid that if would have saved that 21k in any FD or any saving bank account its amount would have accumulated up to 24k atleast with 5% interest. So its better to save money or buy from PC Jeweller or any other local shop.

One star is just because of the purity on gold coin they offer. Otherwise Tanshiq shop is just another loot mall. I have to cuf[censored]p 6k as making against the gold ring totalling 22k. I understand that making charges will go long way in helping poor jewellery artisans but you simply cannot extract their monthly salary from your customers. This is absolutely gross in parts of Tanishq and certainly dissapointing. Do not buy jewellery from tanishq ever if you trust in your hard earn money. Other than that this is a great place for mafias and elites who buy gold out of passion.

Making charges is too high, more then 25%, gold scheme is totally fraud scheme.
