[Resolved]  Tata AIG General Insurance — Erroneous Website And Pathetic customer care support

Dear Sir,

I had exsiting car insurance from Iffco-Tokio and I renewed with TATA AIG for year 2013 online.

I filled all the entries correctly including Registration Date of Vehicle (Which is in Feb 2010). Most of the time the website page on which we fill car details failed. But keeping patience and after several retries (and using experience from my software Engineering background) and could fill all the details and made payment using internet banking.
I downloaded the generated soft-copy of the insurance policy.
To my great surprise the softcopy of the car policy was showing Manufacturing Year 2011.

To check if I made a mistake , I retried to book a new insurance policy for unknown vehicle with same registration date (falling in Feb 2010) and went till end. Just before we pay money a sample policy was generated on this website and it had same error - i.e. manufacturing year was 2011.

Now the pathetic experience begins..

I immediately sent scanned copy of RC to [protected]@tata-aig.com and [protected]@tata-aig.com & mentioned policy number.

After that I am calling their cutomer care number [protected] and trying to explain the issue.
They are not ready to accept the problem and not giving me any complaint number for it.
They are very very very arrogant and think as if customers are at their mercy.
I am calling them repeatedly, their favourite resonses are -
1. Sir our sytems are slow, pls call us after some time
2. I am unable to see ur policy, pls call us after 48 hours
3. Its only you who is saying this error, none else has reported such problem till now.

CustomerCare executive is arrogant enough on the terminology I am using about the policy. He is not taking me as a customer who is not fully aware of the technical terms. He was not willing to proceed further untill I used correct terminology.
They just dont think that they are not the only one in India and they cannt get business like this..

I made a complaint on Feb 3 & Feb 4 but not got any reply from TATA AIG..

I need a corrected policy document. If they cant , I need my money back.

Tata-Aig — No document received even after 20 days of renewal.

I have a Healthcare+ policy with no. IRHC[protected] since last 1 year. I have renewed the policy over the phone from your executive Mr. Pravin shetty in the end of november. I was told by him that i will receive a policy within 7 working days, so i have waited for the same. Till 5th dec i did not receive any policy document, so i called up the call center and was SHOCKED to know that my policy was not even dispatched!!!

I lodged a complaint with no. as 5763694 on 5th dec and was again told that the policy will be received within 7 working days... I did receive the policy on 11th dec but the document sent was the OLD Policy document with the expiry date as 17th dec 2008!!!

I was frustrated and then lodged further complaint on the same on 11th dec. Today is 17th and i have still not recieved the document!! Every time i call the call center i am given an lame excuse that the policy will be sent in 7 working days. I really doubt when does TATA AIG works as working days as it is more than 19 working days (normal working days) since my policy renewal and i have still not received the document.

I have lost my faith in the company totally and now repent on my decision of extending my policy tenure.

TATA AIG GENERAL INSURANCE — not settling claims till today.

I am having my hsbc credit card, on which tata-aig offered me for mediclaim insurance named healthcare+. my policy no. is HCP[protected]dated16thjune08 .And my claim no.is[protected].In the month of nove.08 I had to hospitilize for treatement of bronchrial asthma low grade fevar.At present, asking me past history of my sickness.I have already subitted cerificate from my family dr. regarding their querries but still they avoid me & not answering me satisfactory way.
I am unsatisfied with their services.even with lack of their internal communication.So many time I called at customercare no.[protected]/55. they are always ready to raise request for callback from co.but till today I have'nt receive any single call.
even I have already mention my availability timing in which they can contactme
but output is zero.
Still I am begging to settle my claim and they are asking me to solve querries creates one by one.
I have complaint against co. service level.
they are seems not to provide instant and satisfactory solutions for any problem. instead of make procedure easily they are confusing me. so that I leave to do follow up regularly.
please do needful as soon as possible

Once when i called the customer care of HSBC credit card they told me about the TATA AIG health policy and my call was transferred to the TATA AIG and the executive explained me benefits of the policy, i did not want to buy but executive requested me too much for the policy so i agreed and bought the policy.

Now listen how they are cheating customers, i falled ill and i was admitted in the hospital due to P. Vivax Malaria. I called the the TATA AIG customer care and registered for claim. They told me they will send the claim form and i need to attach the discharge card and doctor's report with the form to settle the claim. After 3-4 days instead of claim form i received a letter from TATA AIG that your claim can not be settled. I was shocked, i called up the customer care of TATA AIG and they told me it can not be settled because you did not exceeded 90 days, you are in short of around 15 days so your claim can not be settled. I told them to cancel my policy immediately. I dont know whether it is cancelled or not.

So TATA AIG can not settle the claims, those people are interested only in taking money but they can not pay when time comes and they have different execuses when you register a claim. So please be aware of TATA AIG health policy and even all the products of TATA. They are cheating innocent customers.

I called the Customer Care today to enquire what action they have taken till now.
They told me that endorsement has been done on Feb 17 and they will be dispatching hard copy.
They need 15 long days to take action... Pathetic !!!


Still I am not sure if the action has been taken as no soft copy recieved yet... Hard copy, God knows...

Tata Aig just keeps asking for contact details and documents,
Action it takes = NIL
On Feb 20, I was told that Hard copy is on its way and soft copy will reach my mail box in 48 hours.
Result: NO MAIL TILL NOW.

called customer care today again.. Ms Ridhi picked up. She says, hard copy is not reflecting & will mark ur matter as urgent.

I asked HOW MANY DAYS DOES UR COMPANY TAKES FOR SUCH REQUESTS?
Ridhi: 14 days
ME: If it is becomes more than 14, what do you do?
Ridhi: ur req has not crossed 14 working days and this that sdfb blah blah blah
Me: I also started speaking before she stoped
Phone was put on hold. What the helll...

My God.. Ur customer care got big attitude.. She kept speaking like a tape without listening to me and the details that I have...

Damn !!
TATA AIG customer care is really really frustrating...

I have a sincere suggestion to TATA AIG:
1. Improve ur website first.. Atleast look at Reliance website.
2. Hire some better and polite customer care executives or atleast review the recorded phone calls. U badly need better customer care.
