Downtime, Incompetent Customer Care
I have reached the limits of frustration with Tata Indicom Broadband and the service they provide.
1. When the server is down, customer care will tell you that the issue will be addressed within 6 hours. When 10 hours later the server is still down, customer care will tell you that they have informed the technical department and they are working on it. When you remind them that they said that the issue would be addressed within 6 hours, their response is that the issue has been addresses and the complaint has been passed on to the their technical department. They then tell you that they said that the issue would be addressed and they didn't say the issue would be resolved within 6 hours. When you ask them when it will be resolved, they will not give you a straight answer, all they will say is that they have informed the concerned department.
2. The server normally goes down on a friday and then you have no connectivity till Monday or Tuesday.
3. When the account is getting renewed, at exactly 12 midnight, you get logged off. When you call Customer Care, they tell you it will take at least half an hour because the renewal pack is in the queue. When I tell them that it was renewed several days ago, they say that whenever the account gets renewed this happens. So every 3 months, this drama ensues.
4. Customer Care is pathetic. They just keep reading from scripts that they have and today when I called to check about some settings on my laptop that had come back from repairs, the CC executive VInay apologised for the server being down. I told him it was not down, because I was working on something from my other laptop and it was working fine. He then insisted saying 'from my side, I can see your local server is down'. I really lost my cool. The lies and deceit is never-ending. Why do we allow a service provider who resorts to such underhand means of providing service? Totally disgusting.
I am very very disappointed and extremely frustrated.
