i wholly agree and am also very angry with tata sky

Tata Sky — No replacement set up boxes available

To the respected department in charge,

I am a registered subscriber for TATA sky DTH service since a year and half.
Since 25th if September 2011 my setup box stopped functioning, I called the helpline number and updated the same with the service provider, a ticket was opened to follow up with the case. A tech visited my place and informed that the setup box is faulty and needs to be repaired/exchanged. He informed that he will come the next day, till date there is no one who has visited thereafter.

Couple of days later I once again called the help desk to get the update about the ticket. The answer that I got was "TATA sky does not have enough replacement setup boxes" and I will have to wait till they have one. They informed me that there will be a charge to repair the box. which I agreed to as it was out of warranty.
Its been 10 days now, I call the help line every alternate day I get the same answer (no enough setup boxes available) I will have to wait.....

Also the help line people do not even bother to inform to discontinue the services for the time being as my services are active. Once I informed to discontinue the services, the first thing they informed me was, the services will be deactivated for 10 days only and it will automatically get activated once 10 days are over.

Is this how people are treated for using TATA sky services. An organization having millions of subscribers in India and worldwide, and do not have 1 replacement setup box.

I have already taken advice on how to proceed further with is matter.

Just an advice for you people who would buy/already have a subscription, please be wise and cautious and think twice/thrice before you have TATA sky services.

Tata Sky — complaint not resolved

dear sir ,
I lodged a request to TataSky helpline no[protected] for changing my set top box as it is in warranty period at present. their engineer visited to my home and they assured me to get this changed within 2-3 days. it has been more than 18 days and my request is still pending.
what should be the course of action in this case?

Tata Sky — non cooperation by the tata peoples

I registered my request that my tatasky dth is not working with tatasky helpline on 31.08.2011 but till date no service has been provided even after a number of calls and requests. I had recharged my account 25/08/2011 by making annual payment of Rs. 7720/- through my credit card. Then on 07.09.11 i registered my request for cancellation of connection and refund of money, but still neither any refund has been made nor any tata employee contacted for any help. Please help me getting my money back. I have reached on a conclusion that Tata sky services are ridiculous and noone should buy it.

Tata Sky — Non installation of new connection

I applied for a new connection 5 days back, the order number given to me was 1-[protected]. Since then it has been a struggle to get people to come and get the installation done. A day after applying, the service engineer came and conspired with the building electrician to demand money for cabling even though I had chosen a package with free installation. And since then, we have faced harrowing time in getting people to come. I am now forced to seek another operator for the dth connection. One should totally avoid Tata sky.

Tata Sky — No Signal since 10.09.2011

I have made a number of Complaints as Tata Sky is not providing me TV channels as per the Terms and Conditions and no Signal is received since Saturday. The authorities at Tata Sky only assured to send thier Engineer to visit my place and set things right but till today things are as they are No signal no TV no channels. Your immediate action in the matter is solicited. Please not there is no heavy rain nor clouds since Saturday 10th September, 2011
Tata Sky is only putting false promises and not standing by their promises. Are they to be trusted any longer? The consumer is at the receiving end. Useless channels are being provided for certain channels as a package, but no one watches but you have to pay. Is this right on the Company's part ?
There are clouds and there is no Signal. What kind of Sattelite do they have. Are other DTH providers the same ? Could you enlighten me on the services of other DTH providers

Tata Sky — Failed in service and Technician threat no one will attend complaint

I am using Tata DTH service since almost 4 years. Previously the call attended by their representative were no issues and resolved timely. Last two weeks the people rather technicians are rough and very adamant. Last week my second connection was down due to Set top box was not powering ON. Technician visited the place and found the adapter has gone bad need to be replaced. The same was not available. Mentioned he shall go back to his office and come back to replace it. In the evening I got message from Tatasky the call been closed. Surprising still adapter was not replaced. Logged once again the call. Next day technician came donw to my place without call me (I always ask Call Centre agent to mentioned the technitian must call me before visit).Since no was at home he called up to me. I requested him to come back between 4-6pm. Again the call was closed without resolution. Again on that day I logged the call once again. New call no was generated and given to me by Senior Call Centre Customer Service Supervisor. So after 3 days follow-up the call was closed with several calls and waste of time and money to call Customer Service.

Yesterday I logged the call stating signal is breaking while watching programs. I specially again mentioned that the technician must call before visit. Once again technician turned up without calling to my place. I was outside, my daughter was at home, who was not aware about the call logged for what. When she called up to me, while speaking this technician was arguing that my daughter is saying there is no issue. Not ready to accepting the problem. After I yelled at him he went to see the issue on terrace. Found problem with receiver connection. Which he was not carrying with him. He was trying to remove it from other dish antenna which was lying idle (not belongs to me) Which is totally illegal. Again he started arguing with me on mobile and left without resolution. While he was leaving he threaten by daughter and sister that he will ensure no one will attend the call in future and ensure no one visit to attend any calls.I spoke to Tatasky once again and spoke to Supervisor Rina, she ensure the call will be open once again. Surprising this call was closed automatically without attending for which I got the message from Tatasky.

Once again I call and spoken to another Supervior Ms. Kavita. She ensure that the call will be oce again open and ensure the completion at 5pm today 25/09/2011. Again after sometime the call was closed.

I spoke again to Tatasky.

How can we ensure the services provided are in favour of customer and how can we legally ask Tatasky to pay the money towards agony and very bad services and threats? Please advice

my tata sky set top box no [protected]. i am so frustrated with the services provided by tata sky. i had ordered for a hd connection on the 4th october 2011 but till date it is not yet delivered, subsequent daily follow ups have yielded no results. one advice better not take any services of tata sky

Tata Sky connection — Full year rental paid by connection disconnected

We had taken Tata sky connection fot our TV at our salt lake kolkata residence & paid our rentals for the entire year in the month of March but our link has been disconected for the last few days.Inspite of our written complaints the company has not responded nor our complaint is attended.We would like take up this issue through your esteemed organisation. We can provide you all the concerned details if required.

For addressing your issue you can try out Tata Sky's official handle on twitter (@TataSky). A month ago I had issues with a recharge that I had made which was not reflecting in my account. I had tweeted for the same and they got back to me. All I had to do is submit my account ID and I got a callback immediately.I suggest you to do the same. Tweet regarding your issue tagging @tatasky and am sure they will look into your matter.
we have two set up box, from friday 21/10/11 one of them is not working, i complient several times to call centre and nanded service station but no one come and cheak

Tata Sky — No visit, no call, no repairs

I made my initial complaint to Tata Sky on 1st November. Five days later, there is no response from them. I have called them every single day since the first complaint; I get empty promises. Their engineers have neither visited nor phoned me. They claim their engineers have recorded the visit in their system, which means their engineers are lying. They are recording the visit without actually attending. This is the second time this has happened. The last time they took 6 weeks to attend to the problem, and only because I had posted the complaint on this forum and written to their Regional Manager. I get messages on my mobile phone saying that it was a pleasure to serve me, when they have neither served me nor have I derived any pleasure! Ours is a common dish for the entire building, which means I am not the only sufferer. Tata Sky's service is pathetic, their engineers are corrupt. They charge premium customers for service, when it is meant to be free. I am switching to another provider.
