[Resolved]  The Week Magazine — ARROGANT BEHAVIOUR OF COURIER & AGENCY

I am a resident of Bangalore and have been subscribing for THE WEEK magazine for the past 5 years. Last year i had renewed the magazine for three years through an agent and had given my office address. Last month, i.e., on 18/01/2010, my office shifted to a new address and the same was communicated to the courier (Hand to Hand Courier, Bangalore) by 27.01.2010. The change of address was noted and i received the magazine on 01.02.2010. The magazine which was due on 22.02.2010 was not delivered to me but two of my colleagues received the same magazine. On 23.02.2010 i spoke to Sheeja Beeno, the contact person of Hand to Hand courier regarding non-receipt of the magazine. I was shocked at the arrogant and rude behaviour of one sheeja beeno. When she asked for my subscription no., I was unable to give her the same since I was at office and could not remember the no. She did not even have the courtesy or patience to check the data base available in their system. I could not tolerate the rude behaviour and arrogance of sheeja beeno and stated that I would lodge a complaint with Malayala Manorama; to this she said "go ahead and complain to Malayam Manorama, I don't care". The entire conversation was conveyed to one Mr.Srinivasan (agency) and he promised that the magazine would be sent to me. Yesterday, i.e., on 24.02.2010, Sheeja Beeno told me that a person would be coming to deliver the magazine at the new address. However, till 5:00 p.m.the magazine was not delivered to me. When I contacted her again, she said the book was delivered to one Ms.Asha in our office. There is no one by name Asha in my office. When I informed sheeja, she was very arrogant in her response and stated that her person can't come to each floor and enquire about me to deliver the book. My name would have definitely been mentioned on the addressee slip. Hence, it is surprising how the courier person could deliver the magazine to the imaginary Asha. When I enquired about this, Sheeja again spoke harshly, hence I told her that I would speak to mr.srinivasan. THE REPLY GIVEN BY HER WAS; "BETTER DO THAT, I DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEM".

In view of the above, I request you to refund the entire amount of my subscription immediately since I will definitely not receive future editions of The Week by an irresponsible and incompetent service provider. Neither will I subscribe to the above said magazine henceforth nor recommend the magazine to others..

Please take up this issue with the courier to initiate severe action against sheeja who has come to bangalore for her livelihood. Her inappropriate and crude behaviour to customers will definitely affect the image of Malayala Manorama.

Let my request for refund of my subscription be attended to immediately. I WANT MY FULL AMOUNT OF SUBSCRIPTION, i.e., Rs.1,399/- OTHERWISE I WILL MAKE IT A SERIOUS ISSUE.
