Dt:[protected] From : Secretary Sterling sarbathy apartment 13-central school road Gill nagar, Choolaimedu Chennai -600094 Ph no :[protected] Kalaimani &[protected] kumar Sir, Sub : excess & abnormal meter reading for last & current months due to meter fault. Ref. : s/c no :[protected] meter no :975030 With reference to above our apartment common meter running faulty and abnormal for the past 2 months the meter shows abnormal units reading and consumption which is much more abnormal compare to our 100% connected load if we are using 100% . Hence kindly see our previous meter records and rectify or replace the faulty meter immediately .also we request you to please arrange revised / corrected / average meter consumption charge enable us to pay the bill in time.

    My meter reading is 13588 while i received bill for 14580. I complained so many times and don't listen me to and keep sending from one place to another. It happened second time to me. First time i tried all my effort and complained everywhere, nothing was done. Finally they cut my connection and i was forced to pay unjustified bill of 13000/-. They said they will adjust this amount in next bills nothing done on that front. Now i have got another bill of 6670/- for wrong meter reading. I am not ready to pay at all though with no help from them i am afraid what i can do. Looking for some serious help on this.

      For my service no. [protected]- at Kamakotti nagar -Pallikaranai. I tried to register on line for bill payments. Received a reply stating that it is already registered. When requested, that I am a NEW occupant & Do not know the earlier login/pw details, I got help, to register fresh & TNEB cancelled the earlier registration. After registration they are suppose to send a mail to me & confirm. I did not receive the mail. My mails to all concerned- as per their contact details at TANGEDCO- were returned back without receipt. Do not know what to do. I am 74 years old & cannot go door to door to find out the answer.       My old tenant has vacated and my new tenant wants to pay online. My old tenant already deactivated his user id as per my request, but still unable to make new regn. This user registration is not necessary for online payments especially if it is occupied by tenants. please discontinue this practice. mys ervice no[protected]. please allow me to register new user id

        Sub: Request for refund of excesss amount paid against wrong meter reading taken by Shri Srinivasan, Assessor, T.N.E.B., Nolambur Section.



        1. I, Smt TharaBai Mohanakrishnan, residing in Plot No 198, 17th cross Street, T.N.H.B., LIG _ I, Nolambur, Chennai 600037.
        My Service Connection No is 437: 010: 818.

        2. Bi-monthly meter reading for the cycle month Jul 2013 has been taken by Shri Srinivasan, Assessor, T.N.E.B.
        The details of Reading/ consumption / CC Charges etc as provided in the `White Card' given to the users has not
        been endorsed by Shri Srinivasan, Assessor.

        3. In the absence of the above details, I have to rush to EB counter every cycle month to obtain the consumption charges.

        4. On Aug 2013, I was shocked that Mr Srinivasan, Assessor, assessed my consumption wrongly and computer showing my consumption
        as 1860 units for that bill amount shown as Rs.13, 767.
        I have made a letter to the Assistant Engineer, Nolambur about wrong meter reading taken by Mr. Srinivasan. The Assistant Engineer
        and revenue Supervisor of the Section has accepted the mistake of Mr Srinivasan, Assessor. They requested to make the payment as
        Shown in the computer to avoid disconnection for not making payment by due date, and assured me for refund / adjustment of excess
        amount charged by Shri Srinivasan, Assessor.


        5. Sir, after a lapses of two months, neither, excess amount paid by me has been received nor adjusted with my another service
        No[protected] as promised by the Assistant Engineer/Revenue Supervisor/Assessor of TNEB., Nolambur.

        6. You are requested to direct the concern officer/staff to resolve the issues and look into the matter personally to refund
        / adjustment of the excess amount aginst wrong meter reading taken by Shri Srinivasa, Assessor within time frame please.

Due to this problem my Laptop was stolen in my house on 13.12.13 night due to more darkness in the street. Please take some necessary action for the same. I had frequently requested the staff to set right one of the cable fault line that has not been working for more than a year but nothing has been done so far to balance the distribution between the three phases. I request you to send the right technical staff to check the inflow lines and set the cable fault right and balance the distribution of the power to all the three phases evenly. I would also like to state that I had changed the rotator switch panel through the MES about year back. Each time your staff attends the solution has been only temporary.                 hello sir/madam I am resident of friends colony, kovil pathagai, avadi-600062 service connection number : [protected] The person who took the meter reading has noted it down wrongly, instead of 380 units he has noted only around 250 units, I used to pay the bill online and the amount displayed was rs.550 and i paid it, this may increase the billing amount next time due to slab rate variation, when i contacted local authorities nobody is responding well and they themselves are not sure on whose responsibilities it is and are just turning me around and have made so many calls regarding this and still i didn't get a proper response, please take a note of this complaint and do the needful so that i do not suffer an increased payment on next billing. it would be appreciated if the person who used to note the reading would come again and note the proper reading .

                  one shanmugham filed a suit in os no.277/2013 before tirupur District munsif court against you that not to erect new transformer near his house at murthy nagar, tirupur . by the asst engineer tneb kongunagar. The said case is pending. in the meantime the Asst engineer is trying to erect new transformer there forcefully with the help of private persons. I request you to instruct to stop the work immediately till the disposal of the case. take necessary action immediately.

                    Dear Sir, I have been getting voltage fluctuation, which collapsed my electrical and electronic components, like my two fans, TV, and audio system. On complaining about the same to the concerned people i got no response, and it is still getting worse, especially after 6 pm, we are not able to switch on any fans and tubelights are not burning. We are getting only 110 to 180 voltage instead of getting 220 at least. So please take some necessary actions against it. Thank you.

                    We, the dwellers of 5th Street, Seniamman Koil Street, Tondiarpet, Chennai-81, have been facing the voltage fluctuation for the past one week. Even I have complained thrice over phone to the local EB authorities, suitable action is yet to be taken on this issue. I yearn to inform you that many electric and Electronic appliances of the dwellers of this street had recently been burnt badly due to high voltage and the same was published in dailies.                     I am a resident of Ayyapanthangal-Chennai, we have severe voltage fluctuation in my area i.e., Dhanalaxmi Nagar. The voltage ranges less than 100V and it is invariably continues throughout day to night. Because of this My household equipments like Water pump motors, Washing Machines are getting damaged and I have to spend thousands of rupees to repair. TNEB has told us that they are installing a Transformer, but this is being done for past 2 yrs(Since 2010), every time we approach they say it will be done in 2 months time, we lost hope and it is increasingly putting us in difficulty for our survival in this particular area...
                    Very much discouraging to live in this place, we have all sleepless nights even after putting a triple booster for the Air conditioner... But we pay the electricity bills regularly for having this low voltage and having the a/cs not cooling the rooms properly. We need a help from TNEB at the earliest at least to rectify such a way we have a constant voltage so that our household equipments does to get damaged.

LAST TIME I PAID RS.9000 WITH PENALTY AS I DID NOT GET EMAIL OR SMS ALERTS AND THERE WAS NO UPDATION OF READING IN WEBSITE. tHIS TIME SHE (THE ASSESSOR) HAD TAKEN READING ON[protected] AND SO FAR NOT UPDATED MY READING IN INTERNET WHEREAS SHE HAS UPDATED MY NEIGHBOURS READING ONLINE AND THEY HAVE ALREADY PAID THE BILL ONLINE. ALL THE READING WHERE TAKEN ON THE SAME DAY. SHE APPEARS TO DO IT WANTEDLY FOR REASONS NOT KNOWN TO ME. MY BILL AMOUNT RANGES FROM RS.3000 TO 4000. I AM A GENUINE CONSUMER AND WANT TO PAY MY BILLS IN TIME BUT I AM FORCED NOT TO PAY MY BILLS ON LINE. WHY ? REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION.                             Yesterday I have made TNEB payment through INDIAN bank two times since i got payment failure pending and i got debited of Rs.1200, but in TNEB website it shows transaction got failed.Kindly find the payment details BIL/23/02/2018>kindly provide solution...I want to get that amount refund.
                            Hi Sir/Madam,

                            I have applied for TNEB exam for AE post and i proceeded with the online payment of Rs.590 through ICICI bank yesterday(28.02.2018). After initiating the transfer, it threw an error as "The page is prohibited to view". I didn't receive any confirmation message that my payment was successful and when i tracked the payment status, it was pending and payment not received from my Application No : A0176751 hence, I made the payment again. I got debited from my account twice.I contacted the ICICI bank, they asked me to contact merchant since the payment was successful and the merchant has accepted.So, Please refund the money and my status is still in pending and payment not received till now.

                              I have applied for new commercial service connections on 10/09/2013 at Tamil nadu Electricity Board office at Ayappakkam, Chennai -600077. It comes within the Ambattur South Assistant Engineer area. Till now connection was not given.The connection is required at the plot no.HIG9811, Tamil nadu Housing Board, Ayappakkam, Chennai-77 I have approched Junior Engineer of Electricity Board and the Commercial Assistant of TNEB office Ayappakkam, several times. But the connection was not given till now.I have suffered lot of mental torture and irrvocable loss. Hence I request you to be kind enough to give me the service connection as early as possible.                                 Hi I am a resident of LIC nagar , 5th street , S Kolathur , Madipakkam Chennai. We are also the victims of horrible power fluctivations since we reside in suburbs as many in the recent trend. The major issues starts with the quality of electricity distributed to our area and which involves capacity of the transformers to support and distribute electricity. I see many complaints here talking up on low voltage screwing up their AC’s and other high priced electrical appliances in summer which bets the very purpose of an air conditioner. While I might also have to agree on the same all round the year. But the preface of my complaint is much to do with the unethical treatment of every citizen living here. It’s like looting us with electricity charges and deposits when there is no enough voltage to make a fan function to its max capacity. The voltage distributed to our residency is less that 110 Volt which will not even support any small electrical appliance and this has nothing to do with summer or winter it’s just the same all through the year if we are lucky we are saved during rainy days which again Chennai is not blessed with many in the recent past. I am not going to write a paper here on how poor Volt distribution increased the consumption of household electricity and ultimately increase the electricity charges for no benefits enjoyed by the end user. I am also not sure how the mechanism works if someone looks through these complaints and tries to work towards the solution as this is just a procedure which will sound good on election campaign and then It become a dud . But I aint gona stop here if none of the officials are going to provide response here or many other channels I may place this complain then I will like to take this legally with all the other victims here in this forum. We need a solution and the government sector will have to stop working as if nobody care about their efficiency and responsibilities.

                                I live in Ramnagar, Madipakkam. Voltage fluctuation is still very bad. No action from EB authorities. We cannot even have a good sleep with the fans running too slow because of the fluctuations. The refrigerator works at below their capacity providing improper cooling. This has been the state for the past three years I have been here and no action has been taken to resolve this issue. Very poor functioning of the govt.

                                      The Ganapathy Sanganur Road was relaid by the Corporation of Coimbatore some time back. At the time of relaying the road they raised the level of the road to 1 ft above the normal level. By this the clearance between the Service wire from the Electrical poles to the road level has reduced considerably and during night hours lots of Container lories with heavy containers loaded on them while passing the road they drag the service wires and the connections to the buildings are prevented by cutting the service wires. To replace the service wires what are the norms we have to follow with the E.B people.Even though it is a loss for the building owner due the negligence of the Corporation and the Trucks please let me know the procedure to replace the broken service wire to the building.
