[Resolved] Torrent Power — Increase in Load

Dear Sir,

I have applied for increase in load from 0.78 KW to 6 KW in the month of July 2011 and also paid Rs. 2740/- for charges and security deposity. However today on 23rd August 2011 i come to know that my application is rejected on account of following grounds -

1) Company have not received Society NOC from our side
2) Company cannot hold the application for more than 16 days.

However instead of refunding full Rs. 2740 company has refunded only Rs. 2445/- (5% deducted as service charge).

Now my complaint is i was never informed the time lag of 16 days, then if i failed to provide socity NOC my application would be cancelled. secondly, application was cancelled on 23rd august, 2011 and it is not within 16 days. If company itself is following policy of 16 days time lag then they have no right to deduct this unauthorized charges. Even if they are deducting they should have given me opportunity to act upon it. Without communication they just cant deduct 5%.

I am facing same issue from Torrent. I am also not able to do anything. I am not able to purchase A.C due to 1.444 kw load and torrent not able to extend it because of their cable is low in our society.

Issue is from Torrent cable then also they told us to take NOC from Society and all the expense of Road resurface and all responsibilities are on us who is applying for extensions.

It seems like I am first applying then all charges, responsibility i need to take but it will helpful to all other persons/members in future.

Such a ridiculous thing I am facing.
