[Resolved]  Travel Agency — Poor and Fraud service from Travel Agent

My name is George K Thomas. Me along with a Cousin Sanju booked a tour package to Malasia and Singapore on 4th December to 9th December 2009 from Ben Tours and Travels during November. They agreed to arrange all the facilities for Rs 28500 including Air ticket, Visa, Transfers, sightseeing, Accomadation with Food and Breakfast. They were very customer centric upto the time of getting the amount from our end.. Then they arranged the tickets. Just 5 days before our departure they had given us an itenary which is contast to the first itinary sent to us. In the first itenary our programme starts with Malasia then straight to Singapore for the next 2-3 days and the remaining 2 days in Malasia along with the return flight back to Home. The final itenary specifies that we need to stay for the first 2 days in Malasia, then to singapore and return back to Malasia once again to catch our flight back to India. As its only 5 days left we agreed for the same. Then they told us that there is a chance that we will miss the flight if we decided to come back to malasia by the coach they have arranged as per the itenary. They also give us a false communication that there are 14 people in our Tour Group who shifted their travel to Flight from singapore to Malasia on 9th December. They asked us to pay additional Rs 2500 + amount for the flight charges towards Singapore to Malasia. Their plan is to make more revenue from us with the flight from Singapore to Malasia which was not discussed to us earlier. As we were not in a position to pay any further amount we askedthem to carry on as pr the itenary. But when we reached there we understood that we will defenetely miss the flight if we opt the Coach booked as per the itenary from Ben Tours. Malasia is around 400 kms from Singapore and our Coach is sheduled to be at 8.30 AM in the moning. Our Flight's take off time is 2.50 PM. In between there is some delay with Emigration Clearance also. So we communiocated the fact with the concerned Tour Operator, Luxuary Travels Singapore and they have preporned our journey back to Malasia on 8th December instead of 9th December 2009. They were very professional in their service unlike Ben Tours. When we contacted the concerned Tour Operator Ben Tours, just before the start of our journey, they told us that there wre around 15 people there in our Group. But no body except us were there. When we came back we also came to know that usually flight is booked for the customers back to malasia from singapore which costs us around 2 valuable days in our jorney. So i would like to point out that we didnt get the full service for the amount we paid to concerned travel agency in Kerala. In addition to that they tried to give us some false statements which made us tensed and frustrated throuout our entire trip which in turn costs us unhappiness and depressed even after returning back. They spoiled our holidays by cheating us ie. without giving us the service for the money we paid to Ben Tours. Their address is mentioned Below:

Please make arrangements to avail compensation from the concerned Tour Operator, Ben Tour and Travels who used fraudlent techniques and unprofessional services. I request you to conduct a detailed enquiry on the concerned matter.
