[Resolved]  TVS victor GL — Fuel Tank Leak

Hi

I bought my TVS Victor GL in 2003 and it's been 6 years now. While I din't have any major issues with the bike except for some initial mis-firings and so on, I have two major complaints:

1. Service cost is very high, this time around the engineers told me that a half-engine overhaul was required and fleezed 6000 bucks from me. While I understand that these bikes generally go for an overhaul sometime after 8 yrs and not before that.

2. Fuel tank is real bad, within the first 3 yrs of buying the bike, it developed a hole on the right side bottom and I fixed it with M-Seal and now after 6 years these holes have come all over the right side front part wherein I have to replace the tank which is going to cost me 3200 + labour charges. This is ridicolous, at least TVS should ensure fuel tank parts are made from the best non corrosive material available!! we paid a hefty sum for this bike in 2003 for which I think at least we deserve that the parts are good material and a wear and tear would take atleast a decade and not 3 yrs and 6 yrs!!

Please forward this complaint to TVS and let them understand the agony we go through

I purchased Victor in 2003. Fuel tank started leaking on right side. Hope TVS will take care of fuel tank complains.
I too bought TVS VICTOR GL in 2003. The tank-leak phenomenon started immediately (after a month)... as it was under warranty, company replaced it. But I don't know about the quality of the tank replaced, it started leaking once again after one and half year. I tried all locally available methods.. mseal to ironsmith...but each of them turned out to be temporary relief only and finally I have to get it replaced after 4 years.
i brought bike TVS Victor 2002. Just Two week back i full the tank and two three times all Petrol as been dry out i fight with Petrol station. Then after i realize the tank had holes on bottom.

Tvs Company is Bigest company why the peoples are made the tank like this, really its bad for their company Good Will Please TVS people Read this letter to Make all parts worthy of customer Money.
