[Resolved]  Uco Bank — Harrashment by Manager & Field Officer

Subject:- Compliant against Branch Manager & Field Officer o[censored]CO Bank Badri Nagar, Paonta Sahib (HP) for unwanted harassment , mental torture and personal insult.

Respected Sir

With due respect I wish to bring in your kind notice as:-


Brief facts of the case:-

1. I am a small shop owner in the area and running a tiny shop since 1990.

2. I hold a CC Account in the bank from last many years and has availed Credit Limit of Rs 800000 (Eight Lacs only) against my House as a collateral Security. I have good transaction in my account and from operational part it is regular account. Since the beginning timely payments of Interest and other charges were made from my side. (A/c No 26062)

3. The Bank Manager Arvind Sood & Field officer Shri Vaid Prakash has been continuously harassing us since the January 2011 they have made common practice for abusing me and my representatives. They both are acting as Hitler in the branch.

4. It became intolerable on 26/01/2011 when I issued a Cheque No 548179 to Mr Naresh Kumar but we are surprised to see that that has been bounced and returned to us with remark “Refer to drawer”

5. On this we approach bank and query for the same and bank manager abused us with the harsh words he also speaks loudly that “don’t come like beggars to bank we have not signed any contact to fund you” we were shocked to see the bank managers response and asked him what is the issue. But he refused to entertain us.


6. On that Day field officer of the bank told us that we have not got our limit renewed since 2 years that’s why the said Cheque was not debited to account. And they will not allow any transaction in account in future with the same excuse. When we told bank that sir, we have not done this type of process in past to please explain us what to do? And when it was not done in past or as per bank statement our limit was not renewed since last 2 years why bank is debiting our account by inspection charges and why the transaction had not been stopped when it was due for renewal during the year 2008-09. On this both the officers of Bank ( Branch manager & Field Officer ) loosed there tempered and harassed us with the unsocial words and insulted me in front of bank staff as well us customers present in the bank. Although he was going to slap me but I could be saving by interface of my wife & customers present in the branch.

7. Bank Manager & Field office had also taken some signatures by misrepresentations from me. They have taken my signature by telling us that they are giving us fresh limit for Rs. 1200000/- lately we came to know that they have taken signature on the bank letter on which we have informed about the non renewal of limit.

8. When I object for same they start procedure for the fresh limit with manipulated intention to extravagate our money. They forced us to spend money for the fresh limit by way of valuations, Shimla traveling and documents costs. But in last they have given us a letter that our proposal has been rejected. Although we have neither asked to provide any information required for same, nor explained reason for rejection of proposal.

9. Branch Manager also told us that till he is in position he will not allow us to bank with the UCO bank. He even not scared to say “I see who will help you, I want to see you crying in your shop”

10. Now bank has also restricted all transaction in my saving account and as well as in my CC account.

Since 31/01/2011 our shop is closed. It’s the only source of our bread. We don’t have any other source of income for survival. My wife has undergone in depression since the incident and this incident also affect adversely my sons mind when he need atmosphere for study as he is pursuing 10+2 exam during this March. Now it’s my humble request that the person who have intentionally snatched my source of earning and put us on the road should be punished for the inhuman act.

Our Pray

Strict action may be taken against the Branch Manager as well as field office for harassment, insult & abutment of customer. Strict action is solicited for the showing violence in bank.

Bank may also be ordered to compensate our costs incurred for the proposal of new limit as that was a pre planed play by the Branch manager and field officer.

A enquiry may be made with respect to the decline of business, accounts of the branch so that hidden face of the bank manger can be seen.
