False commitment from Videocon D2H
My purchase of the product of Videocon D2h was from HS18 as a discount offer of Rs 900/- as installation fees. Before I install this product I had spoken to the customer service team who told me that I can later recharge for Rs 50/- or Rs 60/- monthly based on whatever channels I would prefer. The customer care person told me that the engineer will come within 48 hours and install the D2H connection. After 48 hours when the installation was still not done, I called up customer care they informed me that the installation is already completed. I was suprised! After 15 mins they called me and apologies me and told the engineer will come in next 24 hours.
When the service engineer came to my home, I told him that i am currenly paying only Rs 100/- per month for my cable operator, I reconfirmed with him whether i can recharge for Rs 50/- per month, he confirmed that and said that I can enjoy the benefit of south Indian channels. After the installation when I spoke to customer care person, I get a response that minimum recharge is Rs 150/- per month, which is a false commitment. Prior to the installation I was using local cable connection which cost me only Rs 100/- per month where I get the benefit of all channels. Now I am being told to spend Rs 150/- to get these channels? No one would accept this false commitment. I have not used the services and want the videocon engineer to come and take away your product and refund Rs 900/-.
Just to add on, the customer service guys are not at all cooperative. I was talking to a guy named Raj (claimed to be Manager) who disconnected my call. I called back within next 2 mins and told the agent i want to speak to Raj, he went to call Raj and came back and telling me that Raj has left for the day.. (how funny!)
