[Resolved]  Vodafone — Incorrect Billing

Hi,

I have raised the complaints to Vodafone for incorrect billing done for my number [protected]. I have taken the facility from Vodafone at Rs 49 for each number that two numbers will not get charged from March 2011.

I came to know last month that they were charging me Rs 49 for each number and also charging me for the outgoing made on those 2 numbers from the first bill.

Based on the query raised by me, they have just adjusted wrong billing for past 2 months and mentioned that they are not in a position to reverse the charges charged for earlier than 3 months.

I want to raise the complaint that all the incorrect charges from the month of March 2011 needs to be reversed as I have relied on the large service provider for their services and my trust is broken completely. Service provider can't say that you should reply for the queries in 3 months period when the issue from their side.

I request that my complaint shall be raised and I should get the positive reply.

My name is Rajneesh Raveendran and I am a vodafone customer since jan 2008. On an average I download content for aroung Rs.800 a month so in an attempt to reduce my expenditure I decided to sign up for one of vodafone's mobile connect packages for 499 a month. At the time of signing up for the service, I was informed that I would get 500mb free download. After the activation of the service, I noticed a sudden increase in my unbilled usage. So I called customer service for an explanation. I was again informed that I have 500 mb free download and that I can keep on using the service and I will get the appropriate credit at the time of bill generation. On my bill I saw a charge of Rs. 4012 for downloading around 400mb. So I called vodafone care again only to find out that the package provides 500mb free browsing, not downloading. Now according to me these charges are invalid and fraudulent as I was misled by the customer care department. To support my arguement I have recorded most of my interactions with vodafone's customer care department.
My Vodafone bill last month inflated to Rs.2000plus from below Rs.1000 that I used to get every month ever since I got my connection last year. The customer service told me it was because of my interne connection. But I have hardly used any internet on my phone nor had opted for that. Who should I complain to?

I got a new connection from Vodafone mobile service providers for a monthly plan of Rs.199. I got my first month bill for Rs. 2870 out of which Rs. 2400+ was charged for Vodafone astrology call alone. The bill indicated that I have used the astrology for almost 5 hrs. My mobile phone is a very old one and it will not have a backup time for a 5 hrs call. It was around 2.30 in the afternoon when the call was said to be made and I was at my office busy with my work and never had time to touch my phone. I'm confident that these calls should have been initiated by the Flash message which flicks every single minute (it wont go off even though the keypad is locked). I asked for a leverage from Vodafone since the call was not made by me. The vodafone customer care was very unfriendly and they were mainly concentrating only on the money and not the customer satisfaction. I have asked them for the call recording for the entire 5 hrs and they refused to give and said that they are NOT RESPONSIBLE for this. I'm a BPO guy and work in night shift and I must keep my mobile switched on for any service calls while I sleep. I get almost 4 to 5 calls everyday to pay the vodafone bill. I have asked them to rework my bill and they have never listened to me. Im being punished everyday for getting the vodafone connection and I need a justice for all my pain and money.
I have noticed that in my previous two invoices, I have been charged with the Vodafone Live charges without having taken the service.

Whilst I use the WiFi outside India or at the airport, that does not mean, Vodafone should levy these charges without my notice.

Further, they never informed about these charges, at any time while taking the plan or later.

When I lodged a complaint with them, they told me that it comes by default (whereas that was not the case earlier). This is clearly a case of non-disclosure of charges to a consumer, providing service, without being asked for, hence, this is clearly, a case of hidden charges levied to consumer, without their consent.

I bought a new post paid connection, I was guaranteed free 2000 minutes of outgoing calls. But when it reached 800, they barred my connection saying you have to make payment. Now they are not allowing me to cancel my connection until next month.

This is in regards to the new connection that I had taken from Vodafone the number being [protected]

I had also taken the SMS pack for RS 150.00 a month in which I would get 15000 SMS free ,, which was not added to my a.c by the lady name (Disha) from the Vodafone STORE in Goregaon WEST , from whom I had taken the connection ,,,,, due to which my unbilled usage was getting high as the messages charges were not getting adjusted towards the plan I had taken ,and my services (outgoing calls and outgoing messages)were barred, so I went to the store they checked my a,c ,they people at store apologized for the inconvenience cause and accepted that it was an error from their end and activated the line ,,0020

Again after 2 days the line was disconnected , for which I again went to the sore and they activated it again ,,, this happened for almost 6 times , and then I get my 1st bill for approx 3700.00 all SMS charges as they had not activated the plan , for which I walked to the store again and was advised the charges will be reversed in 2 days which was not done , I went again to the store after a week SINCE THIS TIME THEY HAD DICSONNECTED MY SIM TOTALLY FOR THE UNBILLED USUAGE BEING HIGH , and ultimately after 2 weeks they reversed the charges , till then my second bill was generated

This happened again on the second bill too and I had to go to the store almost more 4 times, and my services were barred this entire time and they were not willing to activate it without an interim payment , which I refused to do , since it was Vodafone’s error that they had not activated the plan ,,,,, since the issue wasn’t fixed even after speaking to several people at the store an even (MAMTA ) the team leader . Hence I asked to cancel the services, for which they happily agreed to, and I didn’t pay the bill since the charges were invalid


And even my the bill is not corrected and I am getting collections calls and people visiting my residence, harassing me to pay the bill , which is incorrect

I have again gone to store after a month from cancelling the number to check on the status of the issue and again I was advised it was done due to some error and will be done in another 48 hours , and its still not done
Am still receiving collections calls and now they have even cancelled my other Vodafone number [protected] due this bill not being paid , and Vodafone store refuses to activate the other number ([protected] )unless this bill is paid ,

I am a Blackberry user and I have free unlimited internet usage on my phone, inspite of that I was charged INR40 for Internet usage.

The conpany says this is for Vodafone Live, however I have below points that I have not got an answer to.

> What all sites have I visited, the bill or the website company is unable to tell me whet all sites I have visited

> I have free internet, so the internet connections should tell me that I am using pais internet, there was no warning message

> I have written 7 emails and all have been replied late

vodafone iphone internet prepaid plane show me
I'm using 3 vodafone CUG connections and after lots of efforts these got activated. Initially I was suffering with service issue and that got resolved after 1 month followup. I've got alert of bill amount 2200/- While it should not be more than 1000 according to usage. I didn't receive bill and following up for the same since 13th May 2011. Now due date has come up within 2 days and still I'm waiting for bill.

Since billing has made wrongly so how can I pay the amount without seeing bill. I have sent e-mails but no response. I have called Customer Support and every time they said that bill will be sent within 2 business days???? Is there any sense of customer service and commitment????

I see "Rental_MI_VOL_100_30d_3G" service rental Rs 100 in my August 2011 month bill. I got three days rental in July bill. Immediately I called up customer care and told that I did not asked for this service. They took a complaint. I unfortunately I did not follow it up with them.

Again my August month bill shows rental for 30 days. I am calling again and again but issue is not getting solved. I even sent a mail to corporate services. It is very bad on Vodafone side charging customers with rentals which services are not requested by them. After my this experience I feel like Vodafone is searching wrong paths to earn money. Please disable Rental_MI_VOL_100_30d_3G service on my account and also revert the charged rental.

Vodafone has started charging me extra monthly rental with different headers.

Even after telling them they still continued to charge me on regular basis.

1. as monthly internet 2GB @ 99 rupees
2. monthly rent for internet unlimited @ 199 rupees
3. data download charged - ( not reached to 2 gb) but still charged

After discussing also he is reducing some amount and same is repeated in following month.

Vodafone — INCORRECT charges levied for INTERNET & SMS

I received the soft copy of my latest bill (bill date = 18th jan’12) today through mail.
Again this time you have charged incorrect charges on the following (details as below):
• Internet usage
• SMS
First, Not I am and nor I was owning & using any IPHONE, fyi.
Second, this is my company sim card wherein we are not supposed and allowed for Internet usage and because of that I had personally visited VODAFONE store at Fort and requested to stop my internet, long before my Billing Date i.e. 18th jan’12.
I am not able to understand what & where is the problem?? This is not the first time you are charging the incorrect charges on my bill.
Kindly give your exact explanation (not your irrelevant & non-related reasons, as you guys always do) on the below INCORRECT CHARGES on INTERNET CHARGES and SMS charges (as no numbers are mentioned where this sms have been sent, so as a proof, you let me know the numbers where these sms have been sent)

I received a mobile phone bill on 25th January with a bill amount of Rs.13771.17.

On analysis i found out that my internet usage is shown as 4387140 KB.
I have an internet pack VMC_VL99_2GB. which gives me 2GB internet usage at Rs 99.
further usage will be charged 10paise/10KB.

My previouse months internet usage has been 1233440KB , and 370780KB. With my normal usage , my utilization can never exceed 2GB.

I spoke to the customer care executives , MR Rajnikant - the retention manager at Mangalore and Mr Ganesh from the back office. They are just reiterating that the usage is captured correctly.

There is definitely a mistake in this usage capture.

There is one more issue.

My credit limit is Rs.2000. per month. This means that once my usage excees Rs. 2000 , they stop my outgoing calls.

My bill according to vodafone had long passed the amount of Rs.2000. My outgoing was never stopped.

I have received credit linit messages duting this period.

On 18th January 2012 , my unbilled amount was Rs.2246.

My Billing cycle is 20th of one month to 19th of the next month.
This means that there was some problem which occured during the bill day which led to this issue.

Please help me solve this problem

I am a Vodafone cell phone user, and have been using their services for a few years. I was traveling in March 2012 for 2-3 days, and activated the daily roaming facility that one can request at Rs.149 or similar each day. I returned to India on March 30, 2012 and deactivated the international roaming immediately.

Whilst roaming, the phone was used on only one of these days for voice - phone calls. My billing cycle is from the first day of each month until the last day, so March 1 - 31. I received a bill of approximately Rs.4100 in April for the month of March 1-31, 2012, which I paid. However, in June I received a bill for April 1-30 which contained international roaming charges. However, I had not traveled outside Mumbai in April 2012, forget internationally, and told Vodafone about it after receiving the invoice.

When I asked for an itemized bill Vodafone immediately said there was no international roaming in April, but that it was in March 2012. I indicated I had already paid that bill, and international roaming was included. Then Vodafone's story changed and they said it was also for the month of March 2012 even through the bill said April 1-30. I asked for the itemized bill which they did not send. They sent the same abbreviated bill as they usually do, but sent an email saying they had sent an itemized bill.

The Nodal Officer admits that there was no international roaming in April 2012, but says there was additional international roaming in March 2012, but refuses to provide details or a detailed bill of calls, if any.

This is regarding the monthly bill received for the number [protected]. This is Postpaid connection of INR 375 per month.
I got this postpaid corporate connection on 4th april. The day i got the connection i was commnunicated following plans about this -
1) I will be getting 1 GB 3G data for free and if i use above 1G data, speed would be decrease to 2 GB and i wont be charged for usage.
2) I will be getting 500 local/STD minutes per month for free.
However in previous month i was provided incorrect bill of approx inr 590 that was adjusted by INR 300 in current month bill and still INR 50 needs to be adjusted in previous month bill (i.e.- 4th April - 18th April)
And, for the period of 18th April-18th may- I received the bill of INR 1477.99 which is totaly unacceptable for me.
I visited vodafone outlet and i was told that i was charged inr 650 for extra usage of data in the current month bill.
However as per the plan, extra usage are free of cost.

For your infomation i have not received any kind of communication from Vodafone for adding such cost in my current plan and without such information how i can be charged for extra money. can you explain?

In last 45 days, i visited 4 times vodafone outlet, just because of the fault of vodafone billing department, and was not given a satisfactory solutions by the representatives. Which is unacceptable.
Request you to waive off the amount of INR 700 in my current bill. Send me the updated bill of InR 868 instead of 1477.90.
I will pay the same and continue with the vodafone, additionally i won't be submitting the whole balance this month and will never wait for the adjustment in next month bill.
Trust me, this kind of services are getting my nerves and if it wont be resolved asap and continues, i would be switiching to other network without a doubt.
Hope you would understand all this pain.
