[Resolved]  Wassup Laundry — Poor Customer Service

Hi Consumers

This is my request you to think twice or thrice before getting into WASSUP Laundry in Sholinganallur chennai. Their approaches and advertisement seems to be like SIX Sigma organisation. But the reality is very very poor. I have bought corporate package of Rs.800/mon for 22 sets. Initially they stand on their words - delivered in time - clean wash - perfect press. And they have told that they can come and pickup clothes any time and any no. of times in a week. But this humbleness diminished as the real business started. The fellow Mr. Bharath who promised never picking calls now.. I expect he might resigned the job. The only way to contact is customer care number. There one lady speaking without knowing anything. what ever we asked she will reply that she would ask the company and let we know. we cannot expect other than this from her. Now the real situation is WORST RESPONSE.

Dear CEO of Wassup Lundry,

The R A Puram branch has misplaced one garment of mine around a month back...I have calling them everyday. At first they didn't even tell me it's misplaced. I got to know just a week back. Now I am calling everyday for the refund. Your manager Mr KUMAR Guru has been taking one day extra time for the refund. The garment cost is 1500/- . Kindly make the refund Asap. I don't want any vouchers for the same. I don't want to ever use your laundry service even if it is for free.

First of all, i apologise extremely for the drop in service levels in attending to your requirements.

I read your post online today and i can understand and empathise with your situation. We do feel really bad when we pay and dont get the service and delivery that we are promised and on top of it if there is no satisfactory response to a complaint.
However i would beg to believe that this is a one off service issue and not something that is happening to all customers.
I am really sorry that you had to undergo this issue.

However i really appreciate that you have taken the effort to call us and inform us of the issue through customer care but again i am sorry that your issue was not solved immediately and taken care off.

I am deeply concerned that we have given anxious and irritable moments to a valued customer like you as our goal is to bring a cheer to our customer and not despair.

I would like to meet you in person to apologise and see if there is any possibility to do anything that can give you some cheer and happiness inorder to undo the mental strain that this episode has caused you.

Wassup suddenly stopped their service to our apartment and disappeared with the diposit amounts which they collected from the residents. If they are runnng their business in an ethical manner they should arrange to refund the deposit amounts which they collected.

i gave my jeans for washing and it was the biggest mistake, i guess.Indeed, it became true when i found a big hole in my jeans.I complaint to the person concerned but he defied it completely.My jeans is now a complete crap.

wassup sucksssssss. Dont ever think to take it.
Wassup has been irresponsibly flown away from our apartment complex, somehow we managed to get our residents collected clothes back.
They have been defaulters on their payament of rent and electricity bill for last 6 months and all calls to their representaties goes unanswered.

This is a cautious note to all Apartment complex, who engage with Wassup; to think twice/thrice before allowing them to your apartment complex.

I am a regular customer of Wassup for the past 6 months. I gave Wassup(iGATE Bangalore) clothes for washing 3 weeks back. For more than 10 days the laundry remained closed. When called, the concerned person picks and says he will open the next day. Now he has started disconnecting my calls. WTH is happening

The case being Arihant Escapade that you are talking about. The company officials have very well discussed with your association and your good self that the occupancy is not as what was promised and we are finding it difficult to financially sustain. We have informed your residents, returned their clothes and paid back their dues and then only we decided to close that center as a part of company policy not to be present in apartment complexes less than 500 flats occupied.

The company offered to settle and even agreed to leave behind the structure that was put up at the companies cost and wanted to settle the account. Whereas your good self wanted the company to pay for the months of non operation also.

It is time you association managers stop being greedy and stop making money at the expense of genuine service providers who come to service your residents to earn a minimal profit.

We are ready to settle the rent amount for the time occupied and close the issue. if you were bit reasonable this would have been closed a long time back.

However if you do genuinely wish to close the issue please contact the undersigned and we will ensure that the correct amount is paid out and settled.

I have never experienced such a bad customer service from any company. Earlier i used to get my dry cleaning done from fabric spa but due to their revised rates i thought about trying wassup. I got a couple dry clean serservices done & the quality of the returned clothes was not upto the mark. But your kilpauk branch manager (i guess) always used to say the service will be better next time. I gave a white tommy hilfiger t-tshirt for dry cleaning which wore only for a couple of hours. But when i got the shirt back it had brown stains all over. I didnt even take it out of your packaging and immediately returned it and told the manager about the stains which were never there on the t-shirt when i sent it for dry cleaning. He said he will send it back to the factory and blah blah reasons and i kept my patience. He called me after 3 days and says nnothing can be done cos the factory people said so. Thats when i lost my patience and yelled at him. He said he ask the customer service person to me the next day. Someone named abhijeet called up and was all smug about being the head of the customer service and how he doesn't have to call me but he did cos thats how bizzare my complaint was and it was the first time he had heaheard something like this. I heard whatever promipromises he had to offer calmly and gave wassup another few days to rectify their mistake. Its been almost 2 weeks since the call from abhijeet. I tried calling the ststore but first the manager dodged my calls and the calls are altogether being ignored.

This was the last time i spent my time and patience on wassup laundry. I would make it very clear to all my friends and relatives what a sham wassup laundry is and never to trust wassup with their clothes.

Thanks for bring up this service lax to us. As the CEO, I am as disappointed as you in the whole way in which your issue was handled.
It is a message to me that we need to improve further.

After 3 years of inception, we are currently at 25 stores processing about 15000 pcs of laundry per day. There are on a average 7 to 8 damages or issues that come up in a months time but we are trying to reduce that to Zero error. Considering that laundry and drycleaning is a labour intensive business we are trying to standardise and reduce the mistakes as much as possible. I am really sorry that your new tommy shirt was handled wrongly and moreover the service issue was not responded in the right away. I will ensure that the people who have attended to your improperly will be addressed.

Also had just checked on your complaint and they had confirmed to me that your tshirt has been rectified and is being delivered to you today. Please do let me know if all ok.

This is Arun . We organised an Wedding event at express avenue on 5, 6, & 7 of Feb which was presented by Marvel wedding cards in which your company had participated by taking 2*2 size stall for promotional purpose.
I was coordinating with Mr. Ronex regarding the rent and stall allocation.After the event Mr. Ronex asked me to send an invoice copy(same attached) to get the payment of Rs.14000.Since then I have not received any payment.
I have been trying to get the payment by following with Mr.Anand, Mr.Ronex and finally i reached Ms, Sheetal (CFO)but nothing had really helped me in getting the payment.She is not responding to my messages and calls.

Its been since 6 months the event got over and still I don't have people responding and that is the reason I wanted to let you know my problem.Kindly ask your team to release my payment immediately.

This is for your attention that My payment of Rs.14000 is still on due since Feb 2015(For participating Express avenue show feb5, 6&7) in spite of several remainders to your entire team Mr.Ronex, Mr.Anand, Mr.Elango, Ms.Sheetal and finally to you.
However you guys are still keeping it hold for no reason.I already had sent you a mail asking to release the payment but there is no response from your end.This is not the professional way of handling things and am sorry I never expected this at least from a senior person like you.

Please remember that you run a business depending on public response and reputation in the market and please don't let this matter to affect your reputation as I also come from service industry.Kindly respond ASAP

I am afraid I am one of your unhappy customers. I have been using Wassup for sometime now and didn't have a problem till recently. The person who picks up and drops off the laundry, Mr. Syed ( who's replaced Mr. Bharani), is arrogant and impolite to say the least. Deliveries are always late and when I call to ask when it will be delivered, the replies are always vague and unconvincing. Most often the calls go unattended. When I ask my house- maid to follow up with him, she's told not to call his number as he's very busy !!! He's also told her last time, that he doesn't need our business and we were free to give our business to anyone else- I think such arrogance is completely unwarranted coming from a mere delivery boy of your organisation. Its indeed distressing to be treated this way and I am contemplating stopping your services very soon. My business may not be running into thousands but I was once your regular customer. Unless you look into the delivery system and the people you recruit, I am afraid your business is going to get seriously affected in future.

I would be happy if I could give a minus rating!! Horrible people, horrible service, and most of all most horrible work done!!! I came to know about this through an internet search and decided to give some clothes for Dry washing. Biggest mistake! Didn't read the reviews before giving.

Firstly, about the service, while picking up the clothes they said it will be delivered in 5 days. I had given on 23. So that way delivery should be on 28. When i called they said they have given the date as 31st. Okay fine, I agreed. On 31st, no delivery. When I called on 4, they tell me that the clothes are ready but since the delivery boy is on leave, it will take 5 more days! I asked why they didn't deliver on 31, for which no answer. 1 Jan was a holiday, so why not on 2nd? No answer. The lady told me she will talk to the manager and call back.
When the manager calls, he was the most rude and arrogant person I had ever come across. He tells me that while taking the clothes they say that they will deliver but its good if the customer comes and picks up on their own! He flatly refused to do anything saying he has no options. When I asked that you should have some backup, he has the cheek to tell me that they cant have backup for some cranky customer like me!!! He told me do whatever you want to do, I cannot deliver. I was told to stop using the service if not happy. He told me to go call customer care, they will help you. He even told that they are only a franchise of wassup so they are not bound to all the rules. Said that this conversation is getting recorded and when they listen to this they can do what they want!!! I mean, is this the way you treat your customers!!!
Lastly, I had given 8 pieces of clothes for dry wash, out of which one was washed and ironed! Anyone could make out that the cloth has been washed!. How can they do it for something which is given for dry wash. One piece had some stains which was just like that. No change. By the look of the clothes anyone would say that they had simply been ironed and sprayed with some cheap perfume!!! My entire house was smelling of that disgusting smell!!!

So, a very humble request to Mr CEO, instead of focusing on expanding, please focus on managing the existing stores. No point in expanding when on the other side your stores will be shut down. Or is that your strategy!??

I am horrified to know that a reputed company like Jabong has invested in you!!! Such a waste!!

I am from abode valley potheri laundry is not opened since four days and my clothes r in laundry and it has became big problem for me so pls give me the information about when laundry will be open..
Wassup launderers @ Besant nagar are unprofessional/Unethical have been misplacing clothes, quality of service is poor and delivering after 2-3 months. Posting grievance so that public is cautious when using their services.
