Dear Sir,

Sub: Complaint against Attendant and TC.
Ref: Train No.12240/ JP BCT DURONTO
PNR NO. [protected]

With reference to my above PNR No. I was travelling with my family from Jaipur to Mumbai Central on 12th May, 2011 and was allotted Bert No. 15, 16,10,11,13 and 14 in B8.

After boarding at JP we were given Blanket and Bed Sheet which were very untidy. As we were not given Towel Napkins as mandatory even after 1 hour I enquired from the attendant who regretfully informs me that they are short of Napkins. I enquired how there can be short of Napkins as the Bedroll along with Napkins are provided by the Railways with the counting of the berths. He informed me that the contractor has not supplied the right quantity of the Napkins. I asked him to provide me with the complaint book so that I can lodge the complaint. But he did not gave me the complaint book.

Thereafter I contacted the Ticket Checker and informed him about the same. He too showed his helplessness and further inform me that it is not the first time even other passengers has also lodged complaint earlier in writing and he has forwarded the same to the higher authority, still the passengers are being inconvenienced so what else he can do? I asked him to provide me with the complaint book so I could also lodge the complaint. He promised me to provide me with the complaint book after he completes the Ticket checking.

Even after reminding him for few times he did not provided me with the complaint book till the time of our embarking at MCT.

I could not understand the stand of Ticket Checker, when he himself showed displeasure of the short supplies of goods in the train why he did not provided me with the complaint book so that I can lodge complaint with the department? Is he hand in glove with the Contractor? Or is there something else?

As such I want to know as follows:

1. Why there were short supplies of Napkins?
2. Why the attendants are not providing Napkins with the bedroll, not in these train, but usually also in all the trains unless asked for. I am regularly travelling in Aravali Express and have same complaint in the same.
3. Why TC did not provided me with the Complaint Book, as it is his statutory duty to do the same?
4. What action you will take and when?


I hope you will acknowledge the same and will do the needful at earliest and oblige, and will inform me accordingly, failing which I will have no option, other than seek information, of your action, under Right of Information Act.

Western Railways — Illegal charging

Sir,
I am an Ex-Subedar and presently serving in Genesys Internation Corporation Limited, SEEPZ (Andheri) as Senior Executive (Store Lead). On 26 July 2011, I was at Mumbai Central Railway Station to send off one of my colleague. I came to the Mumbai Central railway station from Kanjurmarg with a vaild railway ticket, bearing machine Ser No L[protected]. However, when I was returning from Platform No-4, one TT (Name not told by him) has asked me to produce the ticket. Accordingly I had produced my ticket. However, he stated that said ticket is not valid for this platform and insisted me to pay fine for coming without a valid ticket. I had informed him that I came to Station first time and I was not aware about non validity of local train ticket at there, but he has not agreed and charged a Sum of Rs 253/- (Rupees two hundred fifty three only) as fine vide receipt, bearing machine Ser No M-0919846 dated 26 July 2011 which was not legal. In my 30 years of dedfence service I had visited a number of cities but I had not seen such things any where that there are two types of tickets for one station.

Here my complaint is that TT should reliase the realty and should not charged such fine first time, if an individual is telling true. Hence I request you to refund the excess charge of Rs 250/- (Rupees two hundred fifty only) taken from me as fine.

Western Railways — Western Railway

i stay at MIra road travel to Lower Parel at 6:15am could not get in First Class compartment, also observed ladies 1st class packedup and even working ladies cannot get the train in time.
Please try to make the WESTERN RAILWAY realize this problem and kindly increase the LADIES First class and help us out
Dear sir

i had bokked the complaint at limdi station (gujrat), with no 21 dated 24/09/2012. PNR NO.[protected].

my complaint was regarding the train Bandra- Bhavnagar exp.
as this train doesnt stop at the platform of limdi station .driver frequently stop at the outskirt of platform, so my self inclu.ding many senior citizen have to get down &cross the track, which is very inconvinient for us

we also came across the news that westernrailway going to cancel the halt of this train at limdi stationfrom 1/1/2013.
we are strongly opposing this, as we are regular trvellers to visit limdi station...
.
so i would like to requst you to, kindly do the needful, and dont cancel its halt from station..

Dear Sir;
I Mr.NITIN.D.PANDYA i am daily travelling by WR from Goreagaon to Virar. This is to bring to your notice that there is no single train from 7.00 PM till 8.00pm except on e train which is 7.48pm always late.
My request is that there is Platform no 5. which is empty if you can leave atleast two trains from 7.00pm and 7.20pm suit your timings. I think it will help us from Goreagaon, Malad & kANDIVALI to easy our journey.
I am not writting much,
