[Resolved]  XFX — Not giving warranty

I bought an XFX Graphics card model no 8600 GT , from Saboo Computers pvt ltd kolkata on september 2007. Now in Dec 2009 the card stopped giving display and stopped working. I called up Saboo Comp. person , he said that they are no one to decide what is the period of warranty , it is up to the importers.

There are two importers of XFX in kolkata 1. Akshay Enterprises , 2. Rashi Pheripherals.

Name of importer on my box was mentioned as akshay enterprise.

so i called up akshay enterprises. they said the warranty period is over.it is 1 year. I accepted my defeit.

But one fine day i was surfing internet and i came to know that Rashi Pheripherals are providing 3 year warranty on all xfx products.

my temper raised , because i didnt wanted to throw a Rs. 11600 in dustbin.

i called up rashi , they said they only provide warranty on the xfx products distributed by them.

now as my last resource i contacted xfx this was the conversation between me and xfx :

and now in dec 2009 , this card died, the fan stil spins but i get a black screen and error beep at booting.
According to LED and beep of motherboard , it hangs at initilaising video adapter. Now i took the card to saboo
comp kolkata , they said warranty is according to akshay enterprise(Importer) .
I called up akshay enterprise they said warranty period is over. Now what should i do ,
i got this card for Rs.11600. And my father is in no mood for spending another Rs.7500 for a new card.
If i dont get proper support and you make me to throw it on dustbin , then i am never going to buy anything which
has XFX on it. At the time of purchase the shopkeeper says , take the XFX one. Now what is the mistake i have done
by taking it by Akshay enterprise(1year warranty) and not by taking it from Rashi Pheripherals(giving 3year waranty
on all xfx 8 series). Raashi pheripherals are giving 3 years warranty on all xfx 8 series cards.
Why is this type of thing is happening in the same city.

Is there any viewable damage on appearance of the card? If possible,please you can try to put the card into another
PC to see if you get same problem there. Normal RMA procedure is through the reseller, as this is the most
efficient way to process faulty products. On saying that, we do have means to offer direct RMA in circumstances
where end-users cannot return to the reseller, e.g. ceased trading. But we are limited in what we can offer (i.e.
repair and time frame not be sure due to stock status of spare parts. Cards need to be sent to our HK RMA center,
and we`re not responsible for possible local duty and taxes when it`s returned to you), whereas the reseller is in
a position to offer more alternatives (e.g. another manufacturers replacement, part-refund/credit, et.). So we
advise to contact the reseller in the first instance, but please let us know if this is a problem for you.

PCs with the required configuration. Thanks for the suggestion . But please could you tell me what is the warranty
period for my product ? and if it is over then what i am supposed to do . Should i send it by shippment ot Pine
Technology Ltd. Honkong and file a case against the reseller in consumer court.

sending the card to tsuen wan requires me to pay Rs.2000 for shipment ( Taxes extra) and i can get a new card (Same Model)for Rs.3000 .

Now my question is why in the same city i am suffering for service, one gets me replaced or offers cash to take and other maks me throw it at dustbin, if i knew this kind of stuff i would have been never brought this product from saboo or anything which is imported by akshay enterprise.

Maybe someone can tell me the site to get the most effect of a complaint against XFX and NVIDIA. I recently bought a Mobo from TigerDirect (Who has helped immensely) and have had problems with both XFX and NVIDIA not being avilable to hear about my problems or even just returned calls and emails. The board I purchased from TD was a XFX 750i SLI. While trying to install the drivers (almost 20 times) <<In different ways>> I was caught in an endless loop of their software. Neither, XFX or Nvidia want to offer any help for their CR**. Any suggestions? To get their attention?
Dev-same case here no display issue still 1month passed no actions taken by Akshay Enterprise.dont knw what to do wth my Gpu.next planning to buy Asus Gpu...please advice
now guys i have been a latest victim and i would really need ur help i had brought a readon 6670 5 months back, now few days back the card died so i went to rashi for whats the prob they checked my card and said that its burnt but i have nt seen any sign of burning though now this is my pc specs if it do get burns then its probably not my fault.
ram 4 gb ddr2
processor -athlon x2 2.7 ghz
psu-cooler master extreme power plus 500 w
as u can see psu its not the fault though i am still not sure wheather its really burnt and then i go through forums and found several users like me and xfx have been famous for this, now tell me what to do its not even 6 months i brought it.
